Alright, here goes...

To fix the ROMs you need unzip the ROM zip.
Unzip the Needed Files .zip
Insert the attached files (Updater-Script, Updater-Binary) into the ROM you would like to fix
Files go in /META-INF/com/google/android
Zip the ROM folder
Use AutoSigner to sign the zip (

)
Flash the ROM like you would any other ROM (Mount everything, wipe everything TWICE, mount everything, flash)
Profit

PM me with any questions...

Just a thought, correct me if I'm wrong, but if using 7 zip, you should be able to open the archive and replace the necessary files then flash away. Be a little quicker if it works. I'd try but I'm not near a computer...

yes that will work fine doing it that way as i've done it in the past.

I am questioning why this is needed to be done tho. i've had a Dev Edition M since release day and I've been able to flash  ROMs to my M using TWRP even with them being made for SS and have never touched these 2 files.

makes sense i guess. However that said I'll bet most folks problem is they Mount /system in TWRP then wipe stuff to then try flashing, BAD plan as you will have problem. Ppl need to Wipe stuff first, then reboot recovery, then Mount System followed by flashing ROM

I tried this with Energy ROM and it wouldn't install. One time I tried and it said it installed, but when I went to reboot it said there was no OS installed, then another time I tried, it had an error while installing.

Am I doing something wrong?>

what else could work is to install the ROM on your stock slot (as described in this thread:

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

), then make a nandroid via TWRP/CWM.

as for me, I have successfully installed a ROM to my stock slot via SS, unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP, uninstalled SS.  after uninstalling SS, my phone booted up as normal and works well as previously.

however, I believe that the next update of the energy ROM (and any ROM going forward) will be TWRP/CWM flashable, so this could be obsolete soon (if not already).  hope this helps.

So I should not mount and wipe system before flashing? My steps would be to wipe cache, dalvik cache, factory reset, reboot recovery, mount everything, flash energy zip, reboot system?
