Couldn't get the Ubuntu VM to work with Win 8 so installing a dual boot copy on my old Win 7 box. Should have root again later tonight.

 

Rooted again :)

Some advice. I made the Ubuntu flash drive with 64bit copy. You should make sure you download the 32bit copy of 12.10 and you should be fine. The 64bit couldnt see the files to push.

re-rooted last night, everything went without a hicup except that it was slow. Probably because my USB unbutu was set up with persistence.

Best $20 every spent :)
