One of the xda forums, but the strange thing is that it works on other rooms like cm10, and eclipse.

I find that this ROM takes a long time to reconnect to wi-fi after the phone has been idle. Sometimes I have to go in and manually connect to another network and then reconnect to the original network in order to get it to work. Everything seems like it is connected, but the wi-fi icon does not turn blue (no data?) unless I perform the aforementioned steps.

Sounds like you are on a 4.1.2 kernel. Did you flash this over the ota?
If you are unlocked you can flash this boot.IMG and get it working.
I did have a 4.1.1 img that i got from this thread. is it supposed to flash almost instantly?
also do i flash that or the kernal first? or does it not matter?

I always flash the boot IMG first. Then the ROM. Make sure you wipe and mount system.

via Raging M that is color blind

I you're flashing in SS, no mounting is needed.
