well this is for RAZR HD not an Atrix HD, 

 

but i think on xda i saw something or in the atrix hd section matt put a way to use RAZR HD roms

Has anyone flashed this successfuly with TWRP or is CWM the only way?  I have twrp 2.4.4.0 and it sticks the boot logo everytime.  I've tried flashing with and without mounting the system and with and without the boot.img with the same results everytime.

Yes I know but like you said matt had a fix and I did it but its still not working.

I successfully flashed with TWRP 2.5.0.0.  Make sure you Mount System before flashing.

I did just flash using twrp. Went fine. Remember to mount system

if you did matt's way i dont see why it wouldnt work

me either.. lol i changed the apn's did the phone info part and changed my build prop and still nada..i know there was a zip fix somewhere but couldn't find it.

All is good, looks like I had either a bad download or a bad transfer from the laptop to the phone. It's booting as I type now.

Looks good, I will be flashing this theme ASAP. Just finished downloading.

I've been running RageHD since it was posted with no problems. Installed fine coming from cm10.1, just wiped, then restored a backup of 4.1.2 and mounted system prior. It runs super smooth and no lag what so ever. It's actually giving me the highest quadrant scores I have seen on my phone so far and I have flashed and run every rom for the Razr HD so far. The highest scores before this were with cm10.1, which were around 4600-4750. This gives me around 4950 and the first ever above 5000! That was after further debloating and some other tweaks, but still this is great dev. work esp. without owning a Razr HD. I know quadrant is not an accurate test, but with how it's been running I can tell that it's and improvement in every way...

So, help please--I'm coming from hashcode's 10.1 kernel, and I'm a bit lost on what to do. I tried flashing the RageHD Rom but it says failed--I didn't even try flashing the other kernel. What steps should I be taking?

Not sure how that goes though, can that be done just through recovery? And, if that's the case, do I flash kernel first, then the rom?

K so just to be clear literally flash the kernel, then in the same queue flash the rom directly after and everything should be good? I know I sound dumb but it's been awhile lol.
