Been loving the rom for about a week now.  It seems extremely smooth and not a lot of extra "junk".  This morning however, my flashlight app decided to turn on automatically and would not turn off the flash...even after uninstall and a reboot.  I turned off the phone and left it off for about 15 minutes, then powered it back on and the flash was disengaged finally.  But, since that episode I have noticed a lot of system setting being disabled like wifi, cell data (3G/4G), auto brightness, etc.  It's all random and can easily be re-enabled by going into that setting and selecting it.  I just wanted to report these and see if anyone has had these issues.  Other than the few strange issues just this morning and afternoon, I have had zero issues with this rom.  WELL DONE!

Dang I thought I posted here, guess I didn't?

 

Before this ROM I had a phone in which apps where constantly restarting (even smart actions, maps, FB). But now all of that is gone and my music app actually works now and doesn't skip every 15 seconds!

 

I never have much installed, FB, G+, Hangouts, Lightflow, Dropbox, Drive, Keep, Sugarsync, CAD Page being the biggest necessities. No games, no third party email apps... Always hoovered around 70 to 170mb free ram. Would even see Smart Actions restarting all the time!

 

Now I have from 180 to 320 free everyday (215 right now) with all those running plus Apex Launcher and LMT...

 

Few small issues since I rooted/unlocked bl/installed ROM - but I can live with them!

 

Annoying unlocked boot loader warning... Not the ROMs fault, but does anyone know how to get rid of it?

When ever I power off my phone just reboots... Not the end of the world, until I fly again LOL...

It is always required to mount system if flashing something that doesn't include a kernel. This does not, so yes you need to mount system or flash will fail.

Never mind. I just found the post to flash kernel before rom. On tbolt always flashed kernel second. Why no kernel built into rom? Is it a Motorola thing?
(So do I have to flash kernel after flashing rom?)

I always mt system and flash kernel when trying new rom probably dont need to if your on 4.1.2 but dont take much and I have never had a problem.

Might need to tell some people what IRC is these days.  Man in the late 90's and early 2000's I was on freenode all the time idling in #redhat (now #RHEL), #slackware, #linux etc...  Used to be an Netadmin IRCop on an IRC server from a former ISP I used to work for.  Glad to see this being used now actually...its a great way to chat and get help.  An art forgotten in todays world.

 

For those who want to use it and you don't want to webchat you will need an IRC chat client.

OR try using one of your repos to see if its already available for your distribution of linux (example yum install xchat for Red Hat based distros, or use apt-get if you are a GNU/Debian or Ubuntu user. For others such as OpenSuSE do some googling. Its been a while since I used yast or yast2)

It's the best all around working rom for our phone. I play with other roms but end up back in this one within a couple hours.

Does Verizon VVM work with this?  I forget.  Tired of a lot of the limitations of the other ROMs and trying to return to as close to Stock as possible...

BigDaddy what did you do to make the battery last so long in this rom?! I constantly get 5 hours+ screen time. I have account sync on, stream music with screen off, and play games and it's hard to make this phone die at the end of the day lol

Awesome ROM buddy! I always end up back on this one after trying the 4.2 based...this one simply gives me NO issues.  Quick question, would running the crossbreeder mod have any foreseeable negative effects on this ROM?  The lag is very minimal as is, I would just like to have absolutely none, if possible.  Thanks again for this awesome piece of work!

Just curious, not a complaint, why isn't kernel built into the rom? Why doesn't flashing the rom retain the original kernel since it has no kernel?
