Didn't I already do that with the install of 4.1.2 using Matt's Utility 1.2?

Are you using Safestrap or TWRP/CWM? If you're using safestrap, is your stock side 4.1.1 or 4.1.2?

OK, so I decided to trip flashing the boot.img in the OP, but couldn't get to it, as I couldn't boot up!
So, instead of starting all over again, I have FUZION on my card, so I tried booting it so I could transfer the file. It booted right up! Hmmmmm????
So, I transfered the file, wiped, flashed the ROM, then flashed the boot.img, and up I come. no issues.
Sure would like to know why though - doesn't make sense to me. I was clearly on 4.1.2 before I even started to try installing Rage.

If you upgraded to 4.1.2 and it shows you on 4.1.2 then you can do a backup of the boot in TWRP or CWM and then restore it after you flash the rom, it might work

That's why you have no wifi.
This is a 4.1.2 ROM.

Mine is working........... here's what I did to get from 4.1.1 to RageHD working. This may not be the only way. I'll assume your bootloader is LOCKED based on your question!
0. Download the ROM and the 4.1.2 Kernel from the OP. Put them on the ROOT of your SD card on your phone. YES, you need the kernel - I did and I think most of us did.
0. BACKUP your phone - it may be awhile to come back if you need to, but it is good form to get into the habit.
1. Download Matt's 1.2 Utility
. Follow the instruction to unzip and get ready to use.2. I followed this order: OPTION 1 - wipes/installs 4.1.2. The phone will reboot - skip as many setup steps as you can.
3. Go back into fastboot, and run OPTION 2 - installs stock recovery (I don't know if this is required, but it is one of the steps I followed).
4. Your phone is now started, and stock. Next ROOT it using OPTION 5.
5. Now you are ready to Unlock it. Following instructions - run OPTION 6.
6. You are now unlocked, rooted, and ready for custom recover. I picked TWRP. Pick the one you want and run the OPTION on the utility.
You are now ready to install the ROM
7. Reboot into recovery - it should be one you just installed and Do a full nandroid backup so you have your starting point, and can return to it if need be.
8. Wipe as needed (I'll assume you know what this means - dalvik, cache, system, etc.)
9. INSTALL (i.e. FLASH) the ROM (you may need to search for it after hitting INSTALL
10. INSTALL the Kernel. You can do this in one step with step 9, or one right after the other.
11. Once the install is done - REBOOT SYSTEM.
12. Should work......................... The first boot may take a while - don't panic.
Others, if I missed a step or got one wrong, corrections/input are welcome.

SEEMS LIKE YOU FORGOT A BIG STEP... DO A FULL NANDROID BACKUP OF YOUR STOCK 4.1.2 TO AVOID FLASHING STOCK AGAIN FROM MATTS UTILITY OR RSD LITE
DOH!
Great build - I made the edit.

Install Debloated Apps:
Copy apks to sdcard
Using a root file explorer, move apks to /system folder
Set permissions on apks to rw-r--r--
Move apks into /system/app folder
Reboot
I'm pretty sure you have to flash Smart Actions. Am i wrong?

Question - is there a reason the speaker volume on Rage would be louder than Fuzion? I about took my ears off the first time I listened to some music last night. I have to have the volume slider down about half of what it what on Fuzion.
Is there an internal setting that I missed some where?
