There are apps you can download from the play store for that. Widget locker is one that i have used.

I have a question: is it ok that I have safestrap installed and saved a backup, and now want to load ICS? I read somewhere that safestrap/bootstrap should not be installed, but I'm not positive about that.

I would just go back to stock .173 and root, following Arcane's instructions. It's not worth trying to shortcut...

ok i'm going to jump on the ICS bandwagon and try this out tonight...quick question though: i had problems trying to download the second link but it kept giving me errors so i right clicked and saved but saw it was only 10bytes (6.12.173xt912.verizon.en.us.crc) are these correct or did i do something wrong?

The crc file is small. You're good to go. Flash on.

Tibu isn't compatible with ics yet... don't use it... ever... even if your issue isn't related to tibu i'm going to blame it on it. It's a terrible app for ics.

With ICS, or with this leak? Because if I recall correctly (and I may be wrong) I think it works fine on the GNex

It has tons of issues with database restores/conversions etc. Freezing is also built into ics so you don't need to try and freeze $#!+ in tibu that has dependencies and then causes FCs.

yeah uh TiBu works fine for me on my Touchpad, Droid X, RAZR, and on the Nexus S 4G and Galaxy Nexus i've rooted for friends. I really don't think there's any problems with ICS.
