Has anybody else fastbooted back to 2.3.6 and stuck with it? A couple of us over at razrforums/DF have, and for both of us, the LTE radio (not CDMA) disappeared, and the IMEI disappeared as well. This is using Matt's utility, not manually via rsdlite (trying that again in a bit).

i used the .173 fastboot file with the xlm fix and went back to .173 just fine. I had to go back for the saok test and it worked fine. No problems. Haven't ever used Matt's utility.

If you can't find the system folder (yes, you have one) , I'd say that you don't have root access or you're not using a file manager with root access (stock file manager doesn't work).

I killed myself all day Thursday following all the instructions and trying everything I could think of but failing to successfully upgrade to ICS. Then yesterday I noticed someone on the XDA site had posted a direct link to the ICS zip file. I downloaded that and immediately noticed that the file was ~8KB larger than the download I was getting off of uTorrent. I tried that file and was rewarded with instant success.

So in spite of trying to download the file from uTorrent a few different times, assuming that my download might have gone bad, I apparently never did get a clean uncorrupted version via that method.

My symptom of the error was to start the ROM update and almost immediately having the Box symbol next to the green Droid turn into a triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle, followed soon after by a reboot back to .173.

So I am now in the "All's Well that Ends Well" category fully enjoying life with ICS. Thanks!

Just to confirm, the manual method with rsdlite worked for me as well.

fyi, I was evidently using an older version of Matt's utility, which is why it messed up with the radio... 1.51 should work fine.

Before you ask your questions just use rsd lite back to 173. This is the only way to start on a 100% clean system. After it updates ALWAYS DO A FACTORY DATA RESET VIA STOCK RECOVERY. IF YOU NEED THE XML GO TO MY THREAD IN THE HOW TO SECTION. ITS THE FIRST POST.

O here is the link if anyone needs it.

RSD will rebuild partitions and replace your radios as necessary.

So I followed this to the T and I got ICS with root. And yes you do need to RSD back to 173. Thanks to everyone that made this happen.

Thanks

For the last time... Charge and discharge your phone a few times without powering it down. It fixes itself...
