I have es app when I try to move anything to cache file on the phone it tells me it cannot be moved. Any ides?

did you enable r/w in es file explorer?

So I have everything I think I need...root explorer,rom manager,stock rooted 173 all bloat intact, two files moved to cache, but don't I need a rom from somewhere to install? Am I missing something?

Seeding @ 256kb/s and will be 1.0+ ratio in a few minutes and will conitue for probably all night If I dont play BF3 lol.

So i have the files from before the thread was closed and the files were pulled. are the files the same as before? im askinf cuz with my luck all the links will be down by the time i get off work. :/

I have both sets of files (cheesecake and torrent). Same file size and MD5 as well. I think they are the same.

Installing now! It's around 3/4 of the way down and will update once it's finished and up and running. Good to see that someone found a way to install it other than the Cheesecake servers.

The file in the OP is a torrent to alleviate stress on the servers. If people seed it'll go quickly. Once the initial demand dies down I can post it elsewhere. If people want to mirror it they can but just continuing to seed it will be more productive and faster in the long run. Plus torrents don't require MD5 checks by nature.

I was able to get .175 from the server before it was pulled followed the instructions to keep root using OTA Rootkeeper. After install I opened up OTA rootkeeper and hit the restore root. It says that root was restored. But it's not working. Then I noticed that the check box next to root permission granted is not checked. Any suggestions or is there a step I'm missing?

Super user installed is checked
Device rooted is in-checked
Root permission is in-checked
File sys supports root pro is checked
Protected su backup avail is checked

Sweet. It's installed and root is restored without any issues. I did have a question though. The OP states that it will wipe your phone because the databases are not compatible, but my phone wasn't wiped even though I followed the instructions perfectly. All my existing apps are there with data retained and all. In addition, every app that I have tried works perfectly without any issues. Would you recommend wiping just to be on the safe side? It doesn't seem like there's an issue though.

Edited to add that I noticed it updated or removed the apps it needed to as was expected with ICS. Widgets and apps upgraded with ICS are functioning fine. All my other apps remained the same and also work fine.

I've never downloaded any type of torrent file before so I am a little behind here. Once I download the torrent which is 18kb what do I do with it? I read a few posts up that it needs placed on the phone to continue but where to I place it and how do I procide once it is on the phone? I do not consider myself a noob but I don't have any experience with this type of download.

Thanks. I know i'm late to the game but should i uninstall bootstrap or is that gonna be a non-issue? Completely stock 173 other than recovery and root.
