So anyway, has anyone else successfully got the update installed and kept root? Still waiting on my battery to charge a little more before I try it. Last time the download took well over an hour on my phone so I need quite a bit of battery. Just want to see how many other people successfully kept root after the update.

after my first FAIL, im back at 22% been at it for a little bit, probably gonna leave it till morning and try again. I have the files on my phone, but n way to install, even tried them in cache folder, but chees wouldnt reed them, so had to redownload.

someone had said put them in cache folder, and check for update and it will install it, it would not for me, i had to download again anyway.

I ran it successfully, just didn't keep root so I'm doing it again.

I didnt, figured id just get sideload error.

Well there's also a CRC file that needs to go on the internal sdcard I believe. Maybe external.

o well, i have both files if for some reason this dosent work again. And if i do get it working ill try that method on one of our other razrs, 4 in the house, and i mod them all, but alway's test on mine, so if i brake it only i'm out a phone.

As you might have guessed by now, VZW apps can't be disabled in the apps menu, bar a few. :I

OK I've used rsd 17 times. We are getting close. There is no way to do it unless the file is modified or you get a direct download from the server. I can't even get a lock on a download lol. P3 has been plugging away at it non stop. I can't promise anything tonight well maby. Just please keep it friendly in here guys.

ooh, and good on moto for adding the disable shortcut when you drag apps to the top of the page in the launcher for apps that you can't uninstall

Has anyone lost the motorola account permanently with CheeseCake, or does wiping and reflashing fix it?

My only anxiety is that I might have in essence bricked my phone with CheeseCake. I do not want to try wiping it unless that will fix it, else I might lose the ability to add accounts I already have now.

Lightning fast internet speeds won't really help if the servers are overloaded.

They both go in the Cache folder and then switch servers to staging>001. It should find the update then install. it worked when I tested it about 8 hours ago.
