Interesting.. I just opened Terminal Emulator and typed in su and after 10 seconds or so it said Permission Denied. That's not good news!Ummmm, everyone that is saying they kept root. Are you 100% sure you still have it? Just tried opening up the cheescake app and it said "no root." Can't update the SU binary either.
Rootkeeper lied!
Looks like a new exploit is needed for root in the new version.

Rootkeeper lied!
Sure did! Voodoo Root Keeper does not work for this OTA!
Neither does the "Root ICS" option in the RAZR Utility.

Keep trying different servers. The third one in Staging seemed to work best.I've seen a few others post this so far but can someone please explain how to get past the "communicating with server. please wait" message?
Thanks in advance

It's fine. They'll find it soon enough. I tried the Utility root method for 4.0.3 and it did not work.Well if we can get a dev on this I'll sacrifice mine for a root method.

Has anyone figured out how to take a screen shot? I know there is apps but I thought Volume Down + Power was supposed to be built in 4.0? Or was that only for the Nexus?
It still is the same way. I was able to take a screen shot holding power + volume down.

I was able to retain root after I updated to the ICS leak using my backup with VooDoo OTA root keeper.

I think you mean QA1. Look in the QA category for the qa1 server.I realize this is a stupid question, but could someone detail the EXACT steps to use Cheesecake to change servers, I see the "100" server, but cannot find the "Q1" server. And how do you know your selection "took"?
Thank you,
Jim
