I've got both the update file and the CRC File now, I've SBF'd back to 173 and rerooted and used rootkeeper . Where do I go from here? I have cheesecake, but is it necessary since i already have the files?

did you try Droid Utilitys' GSM Root method?
i can't get it to work or even get DroidRazrUtility to work because with this version of ICS i can't find charge only therefore it won't initiate

YES!! No big head icons!! Sorry....I'm a man of simple needs...lol. No..the big head icons and the light blue in some areas I didnt like on stock ICS.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't using matt's ultility only fastboot your system to .173? In order to return to full stock including stock .173 radios you must use RSD Lite to flash the fasboot files.

Seems best to wait for official OTA (4th?), get the radio and OS updates, and wait for the dev's magic.
I'm curious to try the leak, but will have to fastboot back in a few days to 173 to get the official.

if i fastboot to 744 i keep all apps, if i matt util i lose everything.. Seems it should work fine.

Apples and oranges... just because the utility wipes data, doesn't mean it flashes the radio or kernal. I don't use the utility anyway, but just pointing that out

Yes you still need to use cheesecake to switch to the motodev server so that it finds that there is an update. Once it sees that, it will use the files in /cache

I've got both the .zip and .crc, and debating on if it's worth going through the root process, just because of this.
