I would highly suggest fastbooting back to 6.11.744 and resetting back to factory settings like I mentioned. Then root your phone and use OTA Rootkeeper to keep a backup. After this, go through the traditional updates till you reach .173. Finally, try the cheesecake method.
Fastboot files can be found here:
That's one of the methods I've tried. It doesn't seem to work for me. I've been at this since last night LOL pulled the cheesecake myself (it was slow, but not this bad). LOL there's something I'm missing.
Lastly, I'm using a shortcut and skipping to the 173 FastBoot files directly by using Matt Groff's RAZR utility, but... Still get the same error. LOL at least if it were different errors I'd have something to go on. But as of now, I'm at a loss.

can i download the Cheesecake file from my current rom, then SBF back to stock and use the file i previously downloaded? or is it going to be wiped or something...?
It absolutely will not install unless the system thinks you're at STOCK 173. Some people have gotten mixed results, but with previous OTA's that's always the case.

+ 1 million internetsGuys seriously, I'm not trying to be a shlong but some of the questions you guys are asking proves that you shouldn't be messing with this just yet. Just wait it out for a few hours until some dev like th3ory or DH gets hold of it.

lmao so no one answered my question.... why do we get sideload errors ? and why do some people get it working? idnt get that
Are you trying to update it through the same means as the OP from arcane? That won't work.
I think I might need to come up with a nice post detailing exactly what needs to be done..

If we knew why we were getting sideload errors, odds are someone here would have fixed it already.

if I knew that, I'd probably know a solution or know there isn't one.
