I just wanted to give my feedback about this ROM but I'd like to give a back story first.

I just recently got the Android RAZR which is also my very first smart phone! I did a lot of research and ended up rooting it. The things I did to root it were install Superuser, Razr Bootsrap, and OTA RootKeeper. Lastly, after doing some research, someone explained that if your phone bricks, you wouldn't be able to launch the Bootsrap Recovery to restore to a previous backup.

. (I'm saying this in hopes that someone will say "That's why this ROM isn't working for you!") Basically all it does is it forces Clockwork Recovery to turn on after every reboot.

Now onto your ICS ROM! I think I found this thread around 4/29 and I downloaded both the ICS ROM and GApps. The ROM itself is working great (with all the bugs you posted) but the one thing that keeps getting me, time after time, is that I lose my data capabilities and I cannot find out why! I have flashed the ROM about 8 times for testing purposes and it seems that I always start off with data and 4G (I live in an area with really good 4G coverage) but after a reboot or two, it's gone and won't come back. After reboots, I notice that it's always defaulted back to GSM Only so I switch that over to LTE/CDMA but I never get 4G or even 3G, all I can do is make calls and texts but if I want to browse the web or send picture messages, it doesn't work!

On my end, everytime I've installed the ROM I
  • Wipe Data/Factory Reset,
  • Wipe Cache (By the way, is this nescessary? I've noticed that "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" formats the cache directory.)
  • Wipe Dalvik cache
  • Format /system
  • Install ICS ROM and then GApps.
  • Boot and let it get a solid data connection before continuing the setup

I'd be happy to record a video of me doing these steps and showing you how the data shuts off.

So that's basically my story. I've literally re-installed this ROM as stated above about 8 times (especially when I see an update; I'm hoping one of these solves the problem.) But with the latest ROM, the oddest thing happened. I didn't start off with Data :S I skipped through everything and about 20 minutes later, it randomly came on. Then I did a reboot and it still hasn't come back on.

So that's my experience with the ROM so far. Like I said, the phone is new and the data works perfect on the Stock ROM. If you'd like any more info, I'd be happy to supply it!

Did you set the APN after installing? You have to set it manually when setting up the phone after you've flashed the rom.

But maybe I didn't understand you correctly.

Anytime you reboot the phone, you have to click on the "Phone Information" icon and select "GSM/CDMA PRL (auto)" again.

The first time I flashed this ROM it connected to 4g with blue bars full without having to do the 4636 thing. I have since had to reflash but I couldn't get the 4g to work again. Since I know it worked once, I was determined to make it work again. Many hours/reflashes later, the only thing I could come up with is, if I had over 85% battery and my phone was plugged into the charger, I don't have to toggle the gsm to gsm/cdma using *#*#4636#*#*. Also, when I had Google restore my apps and data I found that my data was weaker so I reflashed and restored my apps manually. Several reboots for testing later and my 4g is as strong as stock.

edit: I'm sure it has nothing to do with it but I don't unlock my phone until it goes through the loading of apps and the 4g with blue bars comes up. That only takes like 15-30 seconds.

Confused???

Today i've flashed the Axiom B21 to see, if it works with the GSM-Patch. All fine, but Widow is No.1!

So clean flash over the Axiom and here I'm. Everything works perfectly well, as usual.

Seems to be good, that we don't use 4G ob RazR in GermanY

If I do a factory reset and reflash this will it work, or do I have to revert to gingerbread?

Just wipe everything (data/cache/dalvik/system) and you're good to go

ok guys, so its been a long weekend, but today after reading some comments and further testing ive done, i am going to go back and re-do the final build... i feel comfortable doing this in knowing if i have any data problems "in the area i live in" there has to be others that are getting the same spotty connections. I will throw a new build together and test it for a day, and if all is G then i will upload it for you guys. Until then if you have the last build to revert back to if your having problems or run the current Final build.

Is there a change log available for the new rom? What's different? Just wondering, because prior build is running awesome.

I can't get the play store OR gmail working. Please help. I will stick with Amazon appstore for now, but if it isn't fixed soon I won't be able use this as my daily driver anymore (no offense)
