I'm using Dark-Gapps-ICS.zip and no matter what I do, I can't get Play to work. I've reflashed repeatedly (with wipes) and it just wont open.

Installed normal GApps before and Dark GApps after you've done your Setup?

You need to use the normal gapps first than setup your phone and than reboot and flash dark gapps

Hi. It's great looking so far. My data bars stay gray instead of blue. I can go on the internet (used the browser to check that) tho it's slow. I'll wait a couple of days to see what's up with that. Is it odd that it starts in gsm/cdma and then switches to gsm. The problem I'm having is that when I hit Google Play, it just closes instantly. I did all the required wipes of cache/dalvik and such. Any ideas?

Ok, I'm a dope. After many hours of trying to get this to work, I found I was using 1.7 Safestrap. And I installed 317 gapps. Alls good now. Awesome ROM Andlaw. Thanks very much. :o)

copied from an earlier post:

Sign in to your Verizon account
Mouse over "My Account"
Look under "My Plans & Services"
Then click on "Change Features"
Go to "Cloud Storage for Media"
Remove any of the Backup Assistant options that are selected.

Look in "Cloud Storage - Sync" as well.

Ok im having serious issues im doing this on a Verizon CDMA Razor Maxx and im not getting internet other than on wifi. The 3G/4G symbol has what it appears to be like a "R" over it. SO i figured I would try and activate but my screen goes black when it says to press one to activate. What did I do wrong? I have also toggled LTE/CDMA to CDMA and back.

EDIT: Ok did a factory reset and have a connection but still cant get the dialpad during calls

Ah ha! That would explain why everythings great now. I just flashed plain old gapps 3-17 this time. New problem. Has anyone come across big ugly green stars over their contact using the widget? I've scoured the internet and cant find anyone who's solved that problem. Thanks!

Nice rom. Really smooth. If the data connect on reboot was fixed it would be damn near perfect. Great job!

I've created an Black-Widow-Thread in German and always most people tell me what's not working for them. Is that realy
such an big Problem?

Why not tell us how smooth and stable everything runs. I've great Battery-Life, great Data-Connection and the Design is just WoW.

You get updates as soon as there any changes on GApps etc. and great support, if something goes wrong (Just look through the posts and everything would be solved)

But no, talking about an green star on an widget...

Sorry, just talking.

It seems to be very difficult to read the OP or using the search function...

By the way: Data connection is working fine, there aren't any issues in rendering and the gapps and themes are looking/working great, except someone doesn't follow the instructions. Then there would be green stars, colorful themes and chaotic data connections!
Don't be upset, just telling the truth.

This is built from android 4.0 and was never meant to run on a GB kernel, hence the problems with data on boot. This will be resolved when the ROM is built off the kernel whenever Moto ICS is OTA.

On a second note, for the people who cant figure out how to get Data after rebooting your device, simply watch this video... ( shown on

** & I have also updated the OP to make it a bit clearer for the people who arent seeing that GAPPS need to be flashed with the rom. not the optional Dark-gapps, but the actual Official release of Gapps.

Obviously, if all I stated was a problem with big green stars, then that might mean that everything else was great, no? Silly me, I was under the assumption that any problem that might have something to do with the ROM could be addressed here. Since I never had this issue before flashing this ROM, I thought I'd ask if anyone else had this issue and, if so, might they tell me how to fix it. I guess I should just keep my mouth shut and not ask for help then. Sorry for wasting your time.

I realize the problem. Not complaining. Thanks for all the work! Love the rom.
