** and Memnoch73, go ahead and restore your app+data, and if you ever have any problems.... dont wonder why (JUST SAYIN)................. was no need to debate the issue on what its used for. And some roms (like mine) dont auto restore your apps when you first boot up after flashing the rom, so TB can save you the time from manually having to re-download your apps... (JUST SAYIN)

Thank you, good sir. Looking forward to flashing the update and all these other goodies.

I've never understood why people did full backups/restores...to me it always seemed like a sure way to carry over any problems you had before, not to mention any potential compatibility issues.

But on that note...I flashed this on my OG Droid running Froyo and now I haz bootloopz...what did I do wrong? I wiped my dalvik.

While I agree not restoring data will rule out issues what is the point of using TiBu if you are not restoring app data??

I have restored app data multiple times on the razr and even restored apps and data from my Thunderbolt when I got the razr.

Note I am talking about app data only. Never restore system data...

I agree with everything you wrote about TiBU. App data restoration doesn't make any difference in my experience. I don't ever restore system data. Like you, I've used backups from my Droid 2, Thunderbolt, Inspire on my RAZR successfully.

Cool... wasn't trying to start a fight or a debate. I was (JUST SAYIN) for troubleshooting purposes that MAY be his problem but also MAY NOT be the issue because I have not had troubles by restoring apps and data.

i will say it once more, :D Im not trying to debate the use of Titanium Backup, and restoring app+data. But I will say this again, If you restore app+data, and you run into problems, dont ask why! If you flash the rom without manually wiping whats listed in the OP, and you have problems, dont wonder why... and if you used 1wipe2rulethemall for the install and you run into problems, dont ask why! lol.

Sure, no worry, you won't ever hear from me when something happens. I take full responsibility for testing, or breaking my own stuff. After all, I wrote my company's own internal Windows registry import/export utility in the early 80s when that OS first came out. Or, for fun, rewrite the ROM on my washing machine to alter a wash cycle.

heh, its just most of the time i notice peoples questions can be answered by reading the OP, or even scanning through the thread. And most people try to avoid wiping data when flashing, and then complain about having data connection problems, or random reboots. If you follow the OP, to the T... there should be really no reason for problems to arrise. but i do understand they can, and will at times.... but, they usually happen for the simple reason of $#!+ not getting done right.. but there is always that chance that you just got a bad flash.

But i would still love to hear feedback. not just the ones who are having problems lol.

Andlaw, you seem to be a very open minded individual. You developed something, you tested to the best of your ability, then you provided instructions. People can't complain if they don't follow your directions. Yet at the same time, you don't beotch at more experienced users for experimenting.

Okay...so the theme update is included now?

How about the gapps? Do I still need to flash those separately and then install the darkapps? Silly questions, I know, but the OP is somewhat confusing with the combination of old/new information and then you said stuff is included, so now I'm all confuzzled.

Just follow the OP.

whenever i make changes, the OP will reflect the changes, so that should be all you need to pay attention to when flashing the ROM. but i was saying, if your currently already on the DARK AOKP Milestone 5 build, then you can just download the theme-update and flash it in recovery (wiping cache and dalvik). If you are not running the newest ROM, you dont need to worry about any of the update zips, as the ROM found in the OP is currently up-to-date with all the changes i have been making. so just follow the install directions given in the OP, make sure you have the files on your sdcard-ext. and enjoy~

Edit* btw if any1 would like more of the Roboto text ic_launcher_ icons just let me know and i will be glad to create and add them into the package. right now there is: Phone/contacts, SMS, Gmail, Web/browser, Gtalk, Tapatalk, Settings, Camera, and Unlock..

I would love to have all of my apps in the roboto text.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could make one for music.

So I get a grayed out 4G signal when I try that data connect. This actually happened when I switched to wifi and then back to 4g. Am I gonna have to wipe cache/delvik on a daily basis if I get these connection problems?

no. watch the video found in the OP on how to toggle your data through Phone Info.

That's my issue, I already put it on GSM/CDMA Auto(PRL) yesterday when I first loaded the rom. Now when I toggle from wifi back to data, it shows 4g on top but it fails the ping test and I can't connect to anything.

Ran good for me for 24 hrs... lovely ROM but I didn't care for the partial theme.. kinda my fault probably but had the dark apps and that was about it.. I'm just not a fan of the flat dark colors...But... Kudos to the dev for a pretty solid ROM...

its not just a matter of changing it to GSM/CDMA auto PRL. you have to toggle it. If you want data, go into phone info. set it to GSM only, watch the signal. when it changes from Roaming to grey bars, that's when you will set it to GSM/CDMA auto PRL. if done correctly, you will get data!
