Yeah, as far as I know, there is no KK ROM that is SS compatible.  Just root, install SS, make a backup, and modify your stock ROM for now.  That's the best thing to do with a locked bootloader.

No, and you can't on that system version.

Like Sam, said, read up on his thread and also read up on things that you are capable of doing with root. We can answer everything, with single questions, but it's best answered if you look up what exactly root is and what exactly you can do with it.

As previously stated, you can't unlock your system version.

Here are some terms to look up and read about:

Kexec

SafeStrap

The reason you can't do a SafeStrap KitKat rom is because there isn't a kexec kernel for it.  However, KitKat is going to be soaked soon for the xt926, so, once that happens, IF you maintain root, and IF safestrap still works, THEN you may start to see KitKat based roms for SS.

I have a suggestion....provide more information so we can help you.  For example, what phone?  What version of Android (4.3 is not an answer to this question...the specific build is required)?  Not much we can tell you without the basics.

Droid Razr HD, system version 9.30.1xt926 verizon. en.us,  android version 4.1.2,  kernel version 3.0.31-gef7deb8,  Build number 9.8.1q-94-1.

Earlier today I unfortunately attempted to root with a older version of Motochomper.   I messed up my phone to the point it would not boot and it simply said flash failure.  I was able to finally get the phone into a hard reset and it now work however for whatever reason it still says flash failure until I am re boot through the boot menu.

Moto Chopper will not work on that build. Do some research on Moto Saferoot. Also, any time you have a flash failure the phone will always boot into fastboot on power/reboot. To fix it just flash something successfully like a boot logo.

Dan does not monitor these threads, so the request will fall on deaf ears so to speak here.  Dan has NEVER been about the bounties, so that is not likely to motivate.

He has also stated numerous times that if root is important to you, then buy unlockable devices.  Don't expect root to just show up.  The more exploits that are found and used, the more that get patched, which makes it that much harder on the next iteration.  It takes countless hours for these guys to do this stuff and most do it for the challenge, but it reaches a point where it is taxing.

I cannot believe my eyes! This does indeed work! I spent hours trying to root Electrify M. I used to be able to flash a zip t oroot it, but it didnt work this time. After hours of no work, this simple .bat file does the job. Absolutely Friggin Amazing!! Thank You Forever! Time to burn this to a cd to keep it around!!

What was the issue with the .zip?  It should work if you have an aftermarket recovery.

Just purchased a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD XT926M.

Want to root it and add roms.

What I do not want to do is, screw it up.

So, can someone point me the right direction to do the above.

Any help appreciated.
