hey im running Droid razr maxx HD 4.1.2 version 9.18.94 again its a XT926

build number is 9.8.1Q-94 and its build date is wed sep 25 2013

 

the baseband ends in 17p and i was wondering if i would be able to root using this root? and if not is there currently anyone making or working on one?

It will not brick your phone. As for warranty void that's a gray area. It's mostly not worried about because you can take it to an non-root state should you need to return it.

If you're locked (I assume you are)..... Install safestrap, make backup, then debloat, then custom ROM (if you so desire)

You need the proper one for your phone.... Install like a normal app.... Open...grant superuser .... Hit install recovery...... Easy peasy

No, and you can't on that system version.

Like Sam, said, read up on his thread and also read up on things that you are capable of doing with root. We can answer everything, with single questions, but it's best answered if you look up what exactly root is and what exactly you can do with it.

ok um this is last thing on my phone it says i cannt use clockmodrecovery becuase my device isnt offically supported what else can i do to get it or should i just click on the motorola photon Q instead?

You can't install any aftermarket recovery with a locked boot loader. SS isn't a true recovery replacement, it works in conjunction with stock recovery. Also, all the 4.4 ROMs out right now can only be used with an unlocked BL.
