I am trying to root my Droid Razr M Version 4.1.2 with System Version 98.30.1.XT907. I have followed the instructions to the letter, but when I try to run MotoChopper, I get the following..."daemon not running starting it now on port 5037 daemon started successfully." The program stops and I have tried updating drivers numerous times, with and without USB debugging, changing USB ports, unmounted SD card. Additionally, Motorola Support Manager and the System Update on the phone indicate there are no new updates or software to install.
Any suggestions? I really would like to get all of the bloatware off of the phone. It is irritating when it is constantly updating apps, I do not want, nor use.
Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.

There is no current root method for that version. Sorry.

I believe that the main page is a little misleading. I see the warning in the title but I also see in the second paragraph of the description that it will work regardless of what build you are on. I realize that the description was probably written when the thread was started and the warning was added to the title later, but I'm sure other people don't see It that way. especially when they don't take time to read through the threads. Maybe put in the warning what the last build it will work on and anything after your sol.

There, I made some creative edits to the OP that people will ignore, run this anyway, and wonder why it's not working.

Pretty cut 'n dry to me.

Did you use crayon? That might be the only way to get through to some people.

You own a rooted Motorola device.
You must know how and why that came to be and what you need to do to keep it that way, period.
This is your phone.

CLAP CLAP CLAP! A freaking men to that! It always amazes me that people don't bother doing any kind of research to see if an OTA is going to affect their ability to root BEFORE taking it. It's always "assumed" that "someone" will provide them with root...POST HASTE! Maybe someone will, maybe they won't. Right now, there isn't root on these latest updates and if you have to FXZ for any reason (assuming, of course, you were diligent enough to save root through the OTA), you're SOL. This is a recent thing, right? Moto must have changed all this since the last update. /smart@$$ LMAO

I wish I would have researched more before buying my phone, I would have never purchased had I known there was no root. My phone came with .94. Anyone want to buy a Razr HD lmao. I have a Droid X that I rooted as soon as I got it 4 years ago and just assumed you could root the new chit. F U Motorola hopefully google will straighten your rear end up.

You want to try rooting that build?
No promises. But it's at least possible that it'll work.

Yup. Looks like we got a new root method for the HD/M on the latest updates. This is excellent news.
