hey guys love the rom keep up the good work. I was wondering if there is a place where I can change the governor and also I was wondering about same page merging or something like that for phones with a lower amount of ram. anyway thanks in advance to who ever.( how do I delete this its in the wrong place. the rom im talking about is DU moto msm8960 im using vanquish)

I hate my ROM with a passion but purchased the phone used. I have unlocked BL and root. I'm working on getting the computer to recognize the phone and properly install the Moto drivers. That being said- how can I get rid of my current ROM? Ideally I want to flash to a debloated/ slim 4.4.x. I've got RomFactory 1.2 and it's no bueno IMO.

The simple answer.... Look through the various ROM threads and find one you like......... Download it and follow the directions in the thread for flashing it...:) easy as pie

Awesome, no .fxz sbf req'd like it was "recommended" to do on my d2g. Moto d4 was the same way- flash on top without reverting.

Nope.... As long as you have a custom recovery, such as TWRP installed ..... You can flash away to your hearts content without worrying about fxz/sbf....

I'm trying to get my BL updated to KK and can't seem to find the stock rom to do so. Can anyone help me out? My end game is to get on CM12 (which is Lollipop).

I think this is exactly what I was just searching for........

 

I have no idea what version my phone was on originally but the little bugs (data hand off issues) are finally making me want to flash the sucker stock and start clean...since my original owner didn't leave me a clean copy of the stock software on the device.

 

No worries of Bootloop because I am coming from a 4.3.1 CM10.2 build though??

Have XT926..rooted but not unlocked....can't get OTA's starting with 9.30.1 (still on 9.20.1). Have no idea why.

ROM Manager tells me: "Your ROM is not set up to receive OTA Updates. Please contact the ROM Developer" ???

As far as I know, I never changed the ROM. I don't even know which ROM I have.

I really want to get this phone up to date......any help would be greatly appreciated

Read through this thread. You should unlock while you still can.  Then you can flash up to the newest software for your phone and not have to worry about regaining root.

You Have a xt926 which is a RAZR HD... Those are the file you need to fastboot flash to the newer and latest boot loader. Once done with that Root and Unlock the bootloader. That way you can re root your device after taking the last OTA to 183.46.15 which is still 4.4.2 android version.

     First...many thanks for the advice back in June. I unlocked, rooted, installed TWRP, took the latest OTA (183.46.15), retained root & all is good. Next move is to try new ROM(s)....but here's my first question: Is there any need (or advantage) to partitioning; as far as trying out new ROMs or is it just to move apps to SD? I have a 32Gb card in, so I'm not short of storage space.

 

     2nd Question: Might you be kind enough to recommend a good ROM to start with? ...Just something reliable that would give me the freedom to eliminate as much of the bloatware as possible and hopefully leave me running faster & leaner. I have looked thru the forums but most of what I've seen doesn't seem to offer any concise advice as to what to expect.
