Has this been answered yet? I sure would LOVE to know as well!
Why would you guys NOT want to start fresh?? Might as well uninstall safestrap so you are not flashing 1 recovery over the next. Of course it should still work fine but why not if it's just a second to hit the uninstall button. I have flashed recovery multiple times on my DNA but those recoveries all work the same.
As for Roms again just start fresh since this one works differently than Safestrap. There's a chance it may still work fine but why open yourself up to weird issues.

I renamed 'install-recovery.sh' to append a '.bak' to the end of it. Then tried the original link again and I now have TWRP!Just tried to install this recovery and it seemed to go through alright. Then I powered off the phone and held Power + Vol Down to enter the bootloader menu. Then tried to enter Recovery and it resulted in an Android icon with a red exclamation mark.
Thanks OP!

Sorry, was a problem with the zip, I fixed itI just downloaded the Recovery Flasher V2.zip and it seems corrupt but MD5's match any ideas?
the problem im having is it isn't extracting.
MD5 changed cause of extraction problemI just downloaded it again and now the new one has a new MD5 it may have still been uploading when i tried the first time.
Old MD5: AFD4D1CC0106CF654780B94211DF8B34
New MD5: F02EE95135812F93984E90AB8794769E
v2 is a no go for me
eventually we will figure out why SOME people are having problems, its so weirdTried both versions of this batch and I get the dead android whether I try TWRP or CWM install.
FYI, I unlocked this morning on a rooted 4.1.2 OTA.

yup same here
This is EXACTLY what you should be seeing. All that "No Such File or Directory" error means is that you don't have the file on your phone that rewrites recoveries. I wish I could offer more help. I'm at a loss at the moment. If you guys having problems want to PM me, I will attempt to walk you through flashing manually.
At this point, Im just gonna add this step to the OP just to be safe. It's weird that the Version 2 script removed that file, but people are still having problems.I renamed 'install-recovery.sh' to append a '.bak' to the end of it. Then tried the original link again and I now have TWRP!
Thanks OP!

i tried that.. no go..The dead android you all are referring to is the screen before recovery. If i'm not mistaken, if you press both the volume up and down at the same time it will go the recovery. It is also surprising that none of you can use google.

It's the stock recovery... it wouldn't go to that if it was TWRP or Clockwork

Np, thanks for the help. I will try it manually with the directions from XDA and see what happens. I just got finished setting up the adb environment for my PC, so pushing to my phone should be a breeze. That shouldnt have been a problem, right? I set up adb after I tried to use these tools. I had a feeling I was gonna have to do some manual pushing.
I updated my other post. I have a install-recovery.cfg file, no install-recovery-sh file.
