Why not just use voodoo OTA RootKeeper and then continue with the ota via an OEM channel?

Because not everyone thought to do that?    Just like not everyone thought to unlock their bootloader when the time was appropriate.    LMAO.    Using Voodoo certainly works, though.

You see, I would've unlocked my boot loader but I just got this a couple weeks ago as an upgrade from my Dev edition Galaxy Nexus. Quite the upgrade I might add. I spent no more money than I did selling the gnex to get this. And brand new from moto! Mission Successful. Haha.

Well, that definitely sucks.  Unfortunately it's been said that Dan looked over the new code and there aren't any vulnerabilities in it.  They kinda take security holes in the Trusted Zone rather seriously for some odd reason.  LOL!  Once the TZ partition is upgraded, not even an unlocked phone can downgrade it.  So you got very unlucky on this deal.  sigh.

Not really.  I'm on AT&T with an S4 GPE.

Samsung. Gosh Ive gotten tired of them. In my personal opinion so far the Galaxy Nexus was the last out of this world phone they made. AT least for the time it was. The Galaxy sIII is just feature rich and solid creaking plastic. The S4 is the same thing just with more power under the hood and a larger 1080p display.

 

Maybe its just me, but I love the new Droid MAXX and Droid ULTRA Handsets. They are quite incredible. The Moto X is great and all, but these new droids have my vote and attention.
