Lets wait til actual instructions are released before we speculate on any preparation steps. Hash is going to compile an actual Team Win Recovery, not a SafeStrap. Bootstrap style recoveries are passe` now man. We're gonna have the real deal, FINALLY.

Once it's unlocked, you'll need a real recovery. Once THAT's done, you now have a permanent ability to root your phone PLUS the ability to flash any system img and kernel you want. This opens up a lot of possibilities. But one step at a time. First you need the unlock. I'm still reading the blog post on how he did it. Amazing stuff. As a software engineer, I have a serious appreciation for just how talented he is...
