Hello, I got a replacement bionic in Dec. I've noticed that every time I shut the phone off it unmounts the external sd card (message in notification bar). I don't remember my first bionic doing this. It happens on safe side and all rom slots. SS 3.11 cannot mount it so I have to place the rom zips on the internal drive. Any clue on where I can change the setting so it is available in recovery. Thanks Dan

This is normal. I have seen this on every phone I have ever owned. You should still be able to get to your external SD card in safestrap. I think mounting only has to do with anything when you are booted into the OS. Is there not a choose zip from SD card in Safestrap then it should give you a choice of internal or external?? I have never had to mount an SD card in safestrap. Sometimes people hit "apply update" from sd card when they should be choosing "Choose zip"

Perhaps explain the external selected at 4:24 in this video then. I'm having the same issue. I cannot select the external for a backup but this how to clearly shows it selected on my exact same razr maxx. Please have another look.

What version of safestrap are you running?

What slot are you trying to backup?

What have you done so far to try to fix this issue?

that's cause RAZRs have a different partition table than bionic, i had the same problem with lense recovery but the internal wouldn't work instead.

in recovery use adb to try mount

adb shell busybox mount /dev/block/emstorage /sdcard
