I have been watching the DianXin OS for a little while now. If you like MIUI, you are going to like DianXin Os. There are currently 6 devices supported by the main Developer of this Rom. Please thank Droid Vicious for working on the port for the Gnex. To let everybody know there is still some Chinese in the rom.

whats not working:

- Resident WIFI Hotspot (you can use a 3rd party app for this instead) - {port issue}
- Titanium Backup works with some applications - {port issue}

- External SDcard doesnt mount-temporly i left file manager so you at least find files
- Data doesnt come on by itself you have to go in to phone info and toggle gsm only mode: but there is a phone info shortcut on one of the pages. to toggle back to gsm/cdma auto Or you can dial *#*#4636#*#* to get to phone info to toggle the radio

READ THIS:
please do a wipe data, wipe cache and wipe dalivik cache
You can use both Bootstrap and Safestrap to install this rom
You don't have to install GAPPS they are included
* the phone dialer is weird when you first boot, please update the app in the Market for the phone dialer to work, the app is DX- contacts*

Does this rom support hardware acceleration at all, and do the barcode recognition apps work with it (ie. not only do they load, but do they recognize barcodes?)

I think this ROM was available for the TMobile G2 and I was running it. Believe it is a very nice ROM.

When the dev team figures out those remaining issues trust me you will hear about it, all of the ROMs will incorporate it.

Awesome! Also never heard of this until I saw you mention it in another thread. Bummed to see the sd-ext situation is also an issue on this and will be so stoked to see that bug squashed. Still gonna give this a quick test run and check it out.

Yep also can't open contacts. This rom needs to go back in the oven for a while yet IMO.

not sure id say it needs to go back in the oven just needs some tlc for right now. i love thats its so much like the miui rom, which was my favorite rom on the droid 2

Yea , read the op , the dialer and contact force closes at first u need to update the app search in the market for " dx dialer" update and it should fix it!

people asking about h/w acceleration is getting just about annoying as when i had my G2x and they would ask about the nvidia drivers every time a new rom came out. been said time and time again until moto release ics official and more than likely source no h/w acc for you. and im pretty sure if some1 figures it out before then it will be posted in all the major forums.

So what you are saying is that this has no hardware acceleration. Is there an ETA when it will happen? Also, can you unlock my bootloader?

Guys, you need to update DX Contacts, but you also need to switch your keyboard from V5 to Android. That will end the FCs.

I'm not on that ROM anymore, but from what I recall, you need to go to system settings and I believe it's under "language input." You should have a choice between input V5 and android keyboard (or any other keyboards you have installed). As long as the input V5 keyboard is *not* checked, you shouldn't get any more FCs regarding that. At least, that's what worked for me. Hope that helps.
