Surely Asoka's role this season is bigger than what we just saw. That's my only problem with the episode. She seemed too passive towards grogu. "Maybe another jedi will sense him"
What? You don't want to help further?

The thing is though, was the expectation that Grogu be delivered to someone who would train him further ? The original plan/mandate was to find his species and return him safely to them. Not to leave him with someone who could continue to train him in the ways of the force. As I said before, she's NOT a Jedi. She left the order for good reason. So yea, she has ZERO interest in training anyone.
This is the prelude to her spin-off show which is likely to be Rebels 2.
And we haven't even talked about the motive of the empire in wanting him - that lab that they destroyed on Navarro appeared to be doing cloning experiments and that message from the Dr to Gideon mentioned Grogu's "m-load"...

As for the lab I didn't think we needed to even discuss that again but we already did. They are creating snoke. Using grogu's blood to force enable it.

Right we speculated that but seeing it in the lab showed we were right ...His kind is Jedi. The armorer specifically said to return him to a Jedi. She said nothing about training him. But technically speaking ahsoka isn't a Jedi and as you've seen Mando tends to take his quests a bit literally.

Yup. The "M count" he was referring to was his midichlorian count. Which is off the chart with his species.
But the question *I* want answered is not who saved him at the temple (Obi Wan) but what masters trained him.

It would seem someone has picked up on an idea I had for who the Jedi could be that Grogu connects with. And this one makes more sense than even Ezra. There aren't many Jedi left, and this one I'm about to mention is currently under the "unknown" category as to whether he's alive or not in 9ABY. It's entirely possible. And that would be Cal Cestis. Who the f*** is Cal Cestis most of you are probably wondering. LOL He is the star of Jedi Fallen Order, which is a canon video game. We've no idea what happened to Cal after his ordeal in that game which takes place soon after Revenge of the Sith. But the Mandalorian doesn't shy away from bringing "fringe" characters into the show. Ahsoka, for example, never appeared in live action before other than her voice. Anyway, it would actually be quite impressive to pull Cal into the mix. And I have evidence that backs up my theory that it could be Cal.

Yeah I saw that article as well. I would prefer they go with a more known name but its fine either way.
Id love it to be Mace Windu

I would be quite pleased if it was Cal. He's an excellent Jedi and would be a fun character to explore. Given that neither him nor Grogu end up in Force Awakens or after, we know bad things happen to Grogu. I like that Mandalorian goes after obscure characters that aren't well known. It's one of the things that make the show work.

That means a lot. Far more than just a potential connection to Maul. Dothomir is where the Night Sisters made their home. That's potentially even bigger.

Perhaps not. But it does seem like Ahsoka didn't execute her. As I mentioned before, I think she turned her over to the people.

Interesting that Mark Hamill has casting approval for young Luke.

I saw that. Not sure what to make of it. Could be a red herring.

She did an episode last season, as well. She's a very good director.
