Grogu. And yes, that's how you spell it. Yea, they're screwing with us though. And so many of the news stories took the bait. They're all claiming the Child will be visited by Luke. But that's nonsense. Given that Grand Admiral Thrawn is back. the Jedi in question is going to be Ezra.

Oh I agree, I don't think it will be Luke. What happened at the end, tano defeated the magistrate - or so it seemed, as we didn't see it. But she's got the Beskar staff. And there's some competing storyline as Bo-Katan is looking for the darksaber at the same time as Tano is looking for thrawn. I would also disagree that Grogu failed the first force test. He obviously can force pull as he stole the macarons from the kid in school on Navarro...Grogu. And yes, that's how you spell it. Yea, they're screwing with us though. And so many of the news stories took the bait. They're all claiming the Child will be visited by Luke. But that's nonsense. Given that Grand Admiral Thrawn is back. the Jedi in question is going to be Ezra.
But that was a small part. It was fairly predictable that Tano wouldn't want to train Grogu as she sensed his anger and was afraid she'd have another Anakin on her hands. Also didn't think Mando would drop Grogu off and thats the last we'd see of him.
We still have Moff Gideon supposedly tracking him as he had a tracking device planted in his ship in Navarro. I imagine Mando will run back into Bo-Katan and her crew and there will be an epic battle between the mandalorians and Moff and his dark troopers.

I suspect she turned the magistrate over to the people. But yes she returned the beskar spear to the mandalorian. It's clear that it'll be used to fight Gideon and the Dark Saber. given that it's impervious to lightsabers.
Grogu did fail the test. It wasn't about just moving an object with his mind. It was about the connection he had with his surroundings. His attachment to Mando makes him incredibly dangerous, as Anakin's attachment to Padme did in the Clone Wars. Ahsoka herself knows what attachment can lead to as she was attached to Anakin and had she not been, she might have defeated Darth Vader in season 2 of Rebels. So yes, he failed. Not because he couldn't perform the task she asked, but, because it took his attachment to Mando to motivate him.
Mando will team back up with Bo-Katan to fight Gideon. Since they lack a lightsaber to do so with, they'll use the beskar spear and it'll be Mando that fights. He'll ultimately return the darksaber to Bo-Katan, but, given that he'll be the one to win it, he'll technically be the rightful leader of Mandalore.
But first we'll go on our little quest to stick Grogu on the mantle and see if he can contact a Jedi. I very much doubt it'll be Luke, as I said. The only Jedi I'm aware of besides him and Leia in that time period (of whom he is training right now) is Ezra. Ahsoka is not technically a Jedi anymore as she never returned to the order, even though she considered it. It was pretty clear there aren't any Jedi out there. Yoda was clear in RotJ...."When gone am I, the last of the Jedi will you be. Pass on what you have learned.' Not 100% accurate, but, close enough.

No. Rebels took place just before Rogue One. And in fact ended with the defeat of the empire at the end of Return of the Jedi. Ezra and Thrawn left for the unknown region where Thrawn is from just before Rogue One. If Thrawn is back, that SHOULD mean Ezra is, too. Mandalorian takes place roughly 5 years after Return of the Jedi.

I didn't like when Tano said we should let his ability fade, but of course I understand why she feels that way.

Yes, Obi-Wan. I was talking about it with dad. I think we'll see that as a tie-in for his show.

As I said before, she's NOT a Jedi. She left the order for good reason. So yea, she has ZERO interest in training anyone.
This is the prelude to her spin-off show which is likely to be Rebels 2.
