I upgrated to the Dev s5, Have you tried the Mod called Xtether from the Xposed modules app? It made the rooted s5's tether work without 3rd party apps

I think you're talking apples and oranges. ibolski was referring to a "tethered" method of gaining root in these devices - the user loses root on reboot and needs to connect to a computer whenever he/she wants to regain root.

You're speaking of Wi-Fi tethering.
