I also went into network settings and toggled from CDMA to LTE and back again.
I've tried letting it sit for a long time. I've tried powering it off and back on. I tried going in and wiping the cache and dalvik cache. I tried doing a fresh install.
What am I missing?

I have tried all suggested methods to obtain a data connection and am unsuccessful. am i missing something?? should i try to reflash ?? i love miui but without data i cant use it :-(
For myself, I rarely take the care to debug issues like this. If I experience a problem, I work based on the idea that I have made a significant error, and as such starting fresh is the best solution. That means wiping data/cache/dalvik, restoring with RSDLite/Matt's utility, booting without syncing to my Google account or any other to prevent anything from installing, rooting, installing bootstrap, redownload & verify the hash of the ROM, reboot into BS, perform all appropriate wipes (generally System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache for a ROM), and flashing the ROM.

I must be an idiot but I can't get data working. I installed this last night. I've accessed the "Phone Info" menu using both the *#*#4636#*#* code as well as the installed shortcut, and chosen GSM only, then left the phone to sit for various amounts of time but it never picks up a data connection. A lot of times when I enter the menu and try to choose my preferred network connection, it is difficult to get it to select and no matter what I choose it sits on "unknown". I would say maybe one in ten times I can actually get it to select what I want it to select. The turn off radio button in the menu also seems to not do anything. I don't know if me being unable to get data is connected to this.
I also went into network settings and toggled from CDMA to LTE and back again.

The only thing u r missing is when u toggle GSM in phone info, wait a min or so, the screen flash really quick cause its change radio. At that point u need to switch it back to GSM/cdma auto(PRL). Then u r done, u should have data

Can I use Safestrap to replace my stock rom with this one? If so, would I just get out of safe mode and update stock rom with this one? This blows all the other roms out of the water, my personal opinion. My only dislike is the data warning nag screen.
Yes. You can switch out of safe mode and install this over stock rom but not recommended as the intent of safe strap is to not modify the base system in case you are in a pinch and need your phone to work. Also, you can disable the data warning in the Monitor app.
Anyone else get a force close trying to access the 'Sounds' settings?
Yes I had this issue as well. No idea how to fix it though

So I figured I'd update that I really am an idiot, and let people know what happened in case they make the same mistake in the future. I was on .748 instead of .713. Everything seemed to work fine except for the phone and data, (and I didn't realize about the phone itself not working until later.) Once I realized that (I could have sworn I was on .713, but must have downgraded at some point and forgotten about it) and did the appropriate upgrades, getting data working took about 30 seconds.
Now that that's all sorted everything looks great. I am not experiencing a FC when I access the sound settings, and data seems stable.

Everybody needs to keep in mind MIUI v4 for ICS is not fully done from MI, they just switched to offer ICS verision a couple of weeks ago. So the theme issues are known through out all of the phones and some other various bugs.

does anyone know if all my old themes that i had on my dx will work on the razr or will they be different because the resolutions of the screens?
A
Old themes probably won't work. The themes need to b resized and setup for ICS. That's y some themes causes FCs. The themes are slowly being converted for us. And MIUI changes the framework to make the theming run better. If you remember the name of the theme you can search for it in the theme manager app

not sure if this has been covered or not... but does anyone else see a greenish "X" underneath the volume slider when you hit the volume up / down keys on the side of the phone? Mine isn't like in the picture... flashed it several times via safestrap, RSD-ed back to stock, tried bootstrap... no dice. same issue.

lol, yea I see it too it annoys me xD but its not a bug or anything because it does not affect call volume nor does it cause anything to FC so I think it's just a theme issue or sumtin.

Is anyone running this rom with the latest OTA update? I tried downloading and installing this rom twice after OTA update and flashed phone twice with RSD lite and still doesn't seem to pick up the radio. Never had this problem before I updated firmware. I will try downloading it on my pc first and checking file integrity this time.
1.) Make sure you downloaded the HUGE 1.1 GB file, not the patch (174MB?)
2.) Make sure if you have the .744 fastboot file, you are letting it OTA update TWICE, not once but ((((TWICE))))
3.)Once fastbooted, try wiping in stock recovery once you are done rebooting.
4.)If you are still experiencing problems, return your razr for a new one, lol.
EDIT: why even ask that question btw? This ROM requires you to be on .173 or above along with every other ICS ROM out there...and make sure you are NOT GSM!!!!!!!!!!!! I really hope your not GSM lol.

This probably sounds stupid, but how do I snooze or turn off the alarm? When my alarm goes off in the morning, usually you are presented with a SNOOZE or DISMISS button, but instead, anything I press, soft keys or the side buttons, nothing seems to work. The only way to turn off the alarm is to restart my phone. Kind of defeats the purpose of the SNOOZE. I've really missed the snooze button the past few days. Anybody having the same problem?
i have same problem switched to widow ics really need to snooze or shut off alarm shutting down phone takes too long and wakes up my kid lol. ohter than that i would still be using it i love the flip clock that really flips!
