- Getting random reboots into the popTart cat screen where it stays until I do a 3-button power down.
- Complete data drops seem to come in spurts and require a full reboot, after which things are fine again for awhile.
Other than those, everything I need is mostly here and working!

That doesn't always help. Ive done it and I still get those damn texts.Log in to your online My Verizon account and in your settings/features disable backup assistant plus.

Are you using Verizon enhanced voicemail? I'm not 100% but I think their voicemail systems use txts for signaling the phone similar to backup assistant.

The only way I stop those is to long-press on the senders name (I use handcent) and blacklist them

What's the point of flashing gapps? Is there anything in the package that won't update from the market?
I had a he'll of a run last week. I fastbooted back to 173, tried installing aokp for grins and giggles, it worked ok for 12 hours then it lost all data, I then tried gummy 1.0.1 over it, still couldn't get data (did a full wipe). Ended up restoring my trusty .95 nandroid and everything is stable. I had previously tried upgrading the .95 to 1.0.0 and had data problems. I think I'm forever stuck on .95

Well for one thing, if you dont flash gapps you won't have a Market

I updated gapps and lost my cell reception. I still have data but calls dont go out or come in. Everything was working fine up until I did the update.Thoughts?
UPDATE: I went ahead and reloaded Gummy and then gapps and still no reception. The call goes through on the other end, but I dont hear anything...dial tone, ringing, voices, etc.
I dont want to have to do another clean install. Any suggestions?
Do you have bluetooth on? If you do, disable it and see if your calls work. I have that problem with my bluetooth.

Can someone let me know if they have an Exchange email account working on this? I keep getting error connecting to server when I try to set up the mail box, I am not sure if it is the ROM or technical difficulties at my work.
yes i setup two activesync accounts and both of them are working fine

Yes I know and Gummy is running on the GB kernel. Just didn't know if moto changed anything enough to make it worth the effort to fastboot back to .173 take update reroot flash gummy again.

That was it. Bluetooth is a must for me though cause I'm in the car 3 hours a day. Back to stock it is.

can't you just toggle Bluetooth off and on when you need it? seems like a better solution than ditching the rom.....
