I love this rom, but it pisses me off so bad that I lose my keyboard after ever reboot. I have to reboot cause of data loss. My keyboard will not come back even after cache wipes. I always do fresh installs with roms. The keyboard is there at first but its gone and never ever comes back..dammit! I want gummy but I need my keyboard!
Hey bub, I'm not finished with you yet..... SKNIT!!

Which version of Gummy are you on, and which lock screen are you using?

The latest version in the OP is 0.9.0, but 0.9.5 was posted a few pages back, and I reposted it on the last page. You might want to use Matt's utility to go back to .173, reinstall safestrap, then Gummy and Gapps. I'm having none of those issues, including no data issues.

Whoa that ROM really WORKS. I'm surprised as I've tried CM9 and AOKP, but those have weird bug with calendar sync. Gummy is working great and has great abilities from CyanogenMod, which I like and was searching for. Kudos for you, Kejar ;)

I think I have one of the data bugs figured out, or at least what starts the bug. Every time I use the included wifi tether app I have issues with signal roaming and data not working, and it continues not to work after a reboot, even after cache wipes. The only solution I found for it was to reflash the ROM. Anybody else experience this?

I used the included Wifi tether app a couple times to tether my Xoom and haven't had any of those data issues. If you're running Gummy version 0.9.0, try 0.9.5 which I've reposted a page or 2 back.

I had the problem both on 0.9.5 and also in the latest nightly for the spyder.

Are you running safestrap or bootstrap? And which lock screen are you using?

I used bootstrap, and I'm using the stock Ics lock screen.

I don't know how much of a difference it is to run the ROM using bootstrap or safestrap. I'm using safestrap and have none of the issues some people are complaining about. Maybe try fastbooting back to .173, install safestrap, then Gummy and see how that goes.

I might actually do that, but I have a new theory... Maybe the wifi app just cannot handle the 4g network. I noticed that at work I was able to use the app perfectly (there is no 4g network signal at my work). I downloaded a 1.2GB movie with no problems. But at home where I have a 4g, my problem begins. On a side note, the newest version of wifi tether app was just released a couple hours ago, but all they did was create a generic profile for unsupported devices, and added galaxy s2 support.

I haven't tried the Wifi tether app on 3G, but I have a good 4G signal here at home and that's where I was using the app. Had a nice strong Wifi signal and fast 4G speeds.

Ok, sounds like I'm going to fastboot back and try out safestrap, I will get back to you about how its working since maybe this can benefit the few that are having the issue.
