Thanks for answering my questions, (TSON). Now I've got another one, as I continue my phone shopping quest. The "Droid Fighter" (Or Razr Maxx HD or whatever the name will be when it officially drops) is supposed to be virtually identical to the Razr Maxx, only with a higher resolution screen, ICS out of the box, and potentially a faster processor. Now, I know a different processor might mean a different chipset, and therefore have an issue with how easily the ROM can be ported over.
The question buried in all that is will Gummy be able to be ported to the "Fighter" as easily as it was from the Razr to the Maxx? Or is that something that just really is not known at this point?
You sound like myself when I was shopping around for a new phone so let me offer you my point of view. Find out what aspect of a smartphone is THE MOST important to you. Unlimited customization? Optimal practicality? Or physical dimensions/technical specs? Then get the phone that excels in the most important category and also does as good as possible in the other areas. Wait as long or as short of a time until you feel those criteria are met.
Or don't. Do whatever. That's why we have android phones not iphones.
