Ok, so I just became eligible for my Verizon upgrade, and I'm seriously considering getting a Razr Maxx. Now I have actually read about half this forum already, being diligent, OCD, and slightly insane, but I still have a few questions about this ROM that will help me make my decision to make the plunge.

1) Data connection: I have seen scattered references to issues with the data connection. Is this still an issue, or was it just a problem with earlier builds? Will the official ICS release (allegedly coming tomorrow) help this problem if it still exists?

2) Camera. Most ICS ROMs have camera issues, but I've read that both the rear and front cameras on the RAZR are working (minus camcorder). Being the owner of a Droid X, I know that Gummy for the DX has a camera with a maximum of 5MP and no flash. Are there similar limitations with the RAZR's camera at this point?

3) Gummy for the DX has an issue where the mute button doesn't work. As a working stiff who uses my phone for conference calls, this results in issues between me and my coworkers. I will be unable to flash this without working mute, so does it work with this build?

Those are my big questions. Thanks guys. KJar, I was a user of GummyJar way back in the day, and I love that you're still going strong. Keep on rocking dude.

how do i get google music to work on gummy? the stock music app in it is horrible.

I flashed the latest gapps, but its not included in it.

Also, you guys seem to be talking about gummy .95, but i only see .90 in the main page. Am i missing out something?

download google play music from the google play store.

I tired that, sadly its " not compatible " with my device. I think its due to the fact im in ASIA, not US. Could it be?

I will try to get a screenshot as well if it happens again. It is random and randomly corrects itself. Can't verify if the landscape trick accidentally fixed it last time. I'll give it a shot though!

For future reference, killing the launcher app can fix this. There's a setting in the gummy menu to hold back to kill an app; enable that and every time the launcher goes wonky, kill it and it'll fix itself.

It's still somewhat of a buggard sometimes, but overall it's doing... okay. Once the leak rolls out officially I guarantee you that it's only a matter of time before it works perfectly.

I came from the X as well - the camera here does 6 MP IIRC, but with the new leak stuff camera & camcorder should be working 100% in no time - including face unlock & barcode scanners which don't work yet.

3) Gummy for the DX has an issue where the mute button doesn't work. As a working stiff who uses my phone for conference calls, this results in issues between me and my coworkers. I will be unable to flash this without working mute, so does it work with this build?

Works fine afaik.

After enabling USB Debugging last night I noticed my battery is UTTER $#!+. It's just literally a straight line going down. It's been 4 hours of very little usage and it's almost dead. What the f%$k?

Thanks for answering my questions, (TSON). Now I've got another one, as I continue my phone shopping quest. The "Droid Fighter" (Or Razr Maxx HD or whatever the name will be when it officially drops) is supposed to be virtually identical to the Razr Maxx, only with a higher resolution screen, ICS out of the box, and potentially a faster processor. Now, I know a different processor might mean a different chipset, and therefore have an issue with how easily the ROM can be ported over.

The question buried in all that is will Gummy be able to be ported to the "Fighter" as easily as it was from the Razr to the Maxx? Or is that something that just really is not known at this point?

Hello,

I just installed, and I love it by the way, but this is for CDMA right? My razr is searching for service. I always have full signal wherever I go in my area.

Please help, and thank you!!

Got it! Figured it out, if your phone isn't working, its on the wrong network radio.
You will need to type in *#*#4636#*#* on your phone, and go into the settings and correct it.

Is there any word if gummy will be re-created for the new kernel/radio + hw acceleration on the ICS leak or are all the devs waiting for an official release to work from

My guess is that it would be a waist of time for the devs to put work in on a leak that's still in development. Besides if they were to do it you would have to be on ics leak to use it and not everyone is jumping on that ban wagon. You probably won't see anything until offical release. Not that a dev wont try and work at it.

They are working on it. Problem is with the new kernel. For some reason it won't boot up. But I do know it is being worked on.
