I believe you have to be on 2.3.6 in order to flash this ROM. I could be wrong, but its worth a shot

Alright unless someone else has something better then I'll buy that. Next question is how do I get to 2.3.6? I haven't received any OTA notifications.

Yes you need to take the ota before flashing this. Go to about phone and check for updates.

Am I doing anything wrong?

1. I started clean with .173 using fastboot files and RSD
2. Rooted and installed safeboot
3. Enabled safeboot
4. Factory reset, wipe cache, format system, wipe devalk
5. Installed gummy
6. Installed gapps
7. Reboot

I have left the phone for about 15 minutes and the screen is still black. I have tried reflashing a few times with the same results. Am i missing something?

Ah...got it. I didn't realize I had to manuallly check. Will loading this unroot me? If so what is the preferred method of rerooting?

Same thing happened to me, although my battery was around the 40% range when it turned off and registered a flat-line on restart.

So weird, my battery had to have been in the 90% or 80% range at worst her at work, and all of a sudden it turned off. Would not turn on. Plugged power source and it showed 0%. I let it charge for a few minutes til 5% and I got it booted and battery shows 5%. Sheesh!

You said your screen is black? Are you sayings its black like off or black like the gummy bootscreen with the G in the middle? I at least got to the boot screen. I used bootstrap boot instead of Safeboot though. Maybe this ROM can only be flashed with a certain boot loader?

No it is just black...I can't get to the boot screen. The phone is still on tho. I have to do the volume down + power button for 8 seconds to reboot it back into safestrap.

Motofail will root the latest ota. I'm not sure that you can get an ota while being rooted though. Try taking the ota and if it fails you may need to unroot or fastboot to stock first.

Make sure you aren't using an old version of SS. I think the latest is 1.09

Also, when you are flashing I would wipe cache/dalvik before and after flashing gapps. Sometimes it hangs up if you don't.

I loaded the OTA and it hangs the same spot. I will try wiping the cache in between the flashes as you suggest. Any chance that flashing the bootstrap on boot zip last could be messing anything up. Its pretty much necessary to recovery if the image doesn't boot.

Good evening. Can someone help me out? I used motofail after going to 2.3.6. Everything seemed to be going right. I wiped data/cache partition and dalvik cache. I flashed the ROM then immediately flashed the gapps. It installed both successfully. But for some reason I can't get passed the green android. It says, "unfortunately, setup wizard has stopped." This ROM looks awesome and I just want some ICS love. BTW, this is my first post and I want to thank all the devs and themers for giving us an option when it comes to visual appearance of our devices. Can someone let me know what I did wrong? Thanks in advance.

Did you format the system partition prior to flashing the rom? I believe the op has that in the instructions.

Actualy this last time It booted up just fine and I flashed the bootstrap boot image just as I did before. The only thing I could think of is that I forgot to wipe the data this last time after loading the 173 OTA. Seems to work fine now though. Thanks for the help guys.

Does anyone happen to know how to enable haptic feedback so that the phone vibrates when you tap on the menu buttons? I have it turned on in Settings - Sound but it doesn't seem to have any affect.

Have you tried rebooting? It should be necessary for Baltic feedback, but our phones can be hateful sometimes. ;)
