Does anyone know why the Batman screen force closes at the beginning? I think I've done everything right and I'm using an ECOMOTO cable. My phone doesn't have JB anymore. I just want a clean JB stock ROM.

Received an OTA update the other day, and shame on me, I didn't first check to find out if anyone has had root issues with this one post installation. Sure enough, Verizon saw fit to remove my root access. I do have Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper, so I felt secure, but that's apparently not working. Today I downloaded the Razr Utility, and ran through step 3, but to no avail.
The build that I've now got is 9.8.2O-72_VZW-16-5. Build date is Thu Nov 21 14:10:17 CST 2013. System version is 98.72.165.XY912.Verizon.en.US. Any suggestions? I'd hate to have to wipe it and start fresh, but if that's the deal, then I guess I'll consider. The phone has been INCREDIBLY slow lately, which my wife attributes to the root access in the first place.

Some have had success by wiping cache and data in the smart actions app then running root again

I'll give that a shot tomorrow and let you know.

Yes if you clear cache and data in Smart actions as reported by a few in the update thread. Worst case you can downgrade, root, save root with voodoo and then update again but there are multiple people that have said it works on the update.

Dang it! Just when I thought I was good. I keep getting the "Install Update" box. I don't know if I want to just yet. What are you guys' thoughts on the update?

I took it using voodoo and kept root, but some have lost it. Just make sure your su binary is up to date and you temp unroot and recover it a couple of times before you take the update. As for the update itself, I haven't noticed anything better out worse since taking it. Granted, I am booted into CM 11 most pof the time.Dang it! Just when I thought I was good. Edit:
Just to confirm a couple of points, my RAZR MAXX was updated to Android V4.1.2 and system V98.72.165.XT912.Verizon.en.US
The phone is no longer rooted. I used the the utility to root in the first place. A) will this utility will root the phone with the software versions list above? By clearing cache and data, is this something handled by Master Clean, etc. or by restarting the swap space. Losing AK Notepad an List Master data, in particular, would be a disaster. Both are supposed to be backed up but this no place for surprise.

Yes it will root. You need to clear app data and cache in the the app info in settings of your phone

'Scuse me for sounding like I should be riding one of those short little school buses for the "special" kids but... clear app data? Running Master Clear on the cache gets that done. I'll rebuild swap just because it seems like a good idea. But short of stepping through 80+ apps and flushing their data areas one by one (bye-bye to all the apps' settings at the same time), how's this done? Again, sorry for sounding brain dead on this but... [/shrug] color me brain dead.

Feeding my android addiction......... one phone at a time.....

Oh, SmartActions! Easy-peasy. BTW, I have two other SmartActions-related items: SmartActions Android Framework and SmartActions Proprietary Framework. The first has ~20K of data, and the other has ~4K. Do I care?

No dice for me on the clear cache/data for Smart Actions. Did that, ran the Utility, and still no root love for those Razr. I suppose I can try the definition of insanity, by doing the same thing, but expecting a different result...

I would clear ALL data relating to smartActions...... It needs to be "fresh"
Well now, this is strange. I can push the SmartActions "clear data" button, the data line drops to 0.00, and then when I come back up a level to look at the two Framework apps, their Clear data buttons are dark, and there's that 20K and 4k of data respectively. And when I go back look at SmartActions, it's back to 628K of data - as if I'd never cleared it. Say whut???

Have you tried "wash, rinse, repeat" yet? [/wink]

Any chance it allows you to uninstall updates on that same screen?

So far, lather/rinse/repeat has not worked. But who knows, maybe the 8th time is the charm?
