Hi All,

yeah i know it's me again :(

My phone that we still argue XT912 or not are still softbrick till now, but I still not give up :D

Now I have another question, if I go to recovery and wipe all data and cache, then i go to AP fastboot

I got this information in my screen

AP Fastboot Flash Mode(S)

0A.6C

if i refer to sbf, my last version is gingerbread am I right?

Is it the root cause I can't use this utility?

If your a 912 then that should have nothing to do with it. Many peopl flashed from GB to JB with it.

First just wanted to say thanks for this app! Much appreciated. However I cannot seem to get the root to work. According to root checker superuser is not installed (but it is) and also I have no SU binaries and cannot get them to update. any help would be appreciated.

My #G was not working since the JB upgrade (OTA), I was trying to use droid utility 1.82 to rol back and root (thinking root might help), during first step it showed me message during writing boot.img "Preboot Validation failure", since then I cant boot, when I start the phone it shows the logo for a while and then blank screen....

Any suggestions????Help...

Once you go to JB you cannot go back to ICS or any previous version. You need to use Matts latest utility (posted in the OP) and use either Option 1 or Option 2 to go back to JB.

Thanks, I think I used 1.82 to do my razr but never did my wife's. I saw it went to 1.90 & now this newer utility so I was not sure. I do already have it installed on PC cause I wanted to fastboot back to stock on my razr & start from scratch, now wife is having problems with hers (still on ICS) so I want to update hers.

yes indeed, newest drivers installed. What is USB 3.0? I"m using my standard USB ports that i've always used for this type of stuff, 2.0 as far as I know.

usb 3.0 are new usb ports the ports are blue and white on the inside and they transfer max speed of 3.0 gbs per second there faster and only on newer computers laptops or desktops or even newer high end cooling pads

Ok so I got the root to work with the official stock JB version I received from Verizon. If you read above you'll see I had some trouble. My solution? I removed (uninstalled) the Voodoo OTA install I had from my Gingerbread version. Reran the Root (number 3) and this time it worked. Thank you!

I Tried this didnt work one other thing im going to try is disabiling smart action here is the info while rooting

Tried without disabled and with it disabled and dont have supersu installed nor ota root keeper or superuser nothing of that nature installed still wont root 4.1.2 jelly bean vzw update on Droid Razr

Try uninstalling the 1.82 utility completely (or the 1.90, if that overwrote it, or both) and uninstall all Moto drivers and start over from scratch. Sometimes I've heard people have problems installing new drivers over old ones.

RSDlite is a program that performs basically the same primary function as Matt's utility .... (I believe it is included in the utility folder...... you can get the proper "sbf" file from here

Yes it will completely wipe your phone.... it will not wipe the SDcard and if your phone is backed up to your Google account, most of your "stuff" can be restored easily....... if in fact the phone is currently rooted you can manually copy /data to your SDcard and then to your computer(to be safe)..... (/data contains all your downloaded apps, call logs, SMS etc....)
