Cannot thank you enough for this utility! I pretty much bricked my phone earlier and tried virtually everything else I could find on the internet. I happened to stumble across this topic and ran your utility. Everything is running perfectly smooth again!

Hey all, I was wondering if you could give me some guidance. I wanted to install JellyWiz on my RAZR that was running .16, so I decided to try and boot back to ICS and then use the Utility to go from ICS to Leak.
Everything up until the recovery went fine. Then when I tried to install the zip ICS to Leak, it aborts installation. I now cannot get the phone to flash ANYTHING. Has anyone overcome this?

I would think so, I had it on .16 before I tried the process.
I ran Matt's utility with root hoping after the installs I could boot back into the Leak...no dice

It seems as though I'm pretty much soft bricked. I have no issues booting into recovery or AP fastboot at all

You can't go back to ICS. Use this Utility option 1 and that should get you fixed up

GOT IT!
I ran unbrick a couple more times and for whatever reason I finally got it to boot back to OTA .16

Sigh... I'm hitting the same download problem reported earlier. I used Orbit to get the file from Batakang and Dev-Host but 1) 7zip won't open it, and 2) the md5 code doesn't match. The files' codes are the same but don't match the expected MD5. Now what?
FWIW, this is the md5 I'm trying to match: A97EE9A80CA38C9D4C85FFCAB828D8F0
I get something beginning DCBA...
FWIW, the phone is soft bricked with OTA JB, rooted with RAZR blade. The phone was rooted under ICS and again when JB was forced on me (while in Germany, via Vodaphone - go figure!). I use root only to tweak build.prop to disable fast dependency (not supported here in the Bahamas with Batelco). All of this worked fine until about two days ago when I powered the phone down (sailing offshore, out of cell range, might as well give the battery a rest). The only recent mods are adding the APN for Batelco and three pushed updates from Google. No new apps added recently. The phone just went to sleep and work up insane.
It's not that I hate fools, but I think we should hide all the warning signs and let nature sort things out.

Hello all..
I have problem with my XT912 (Droid Razr).
My phone is bricked, can't boot to homescreen and can't access recovery..
I can still access AP Fastboot for flashing firmware.
But, flashing firmware with RSD lite stuck at boot system.
So, I try flashing with unbrick Jelly Bean & Droid Razr Utility from Mattlgroff still can't fix problem.
Can't flash boot, devtree (INFOPreflash validation failure) and preinstall (INFOimage bigger than partition)
Please help me..
And thx for great community RAZR in this forum..
sorry for my bad english..

Try a different browser.....
Went there, did that. Chrome never even got out of the starting blocks - "Network failure". I could try IE, I suppose. Right now, each attempt takes 1 1/2 - 2 hours if someone else isn't hogging the AP with Skype, etc.
Also, I used Orbit (as suggested back in the original post) for the batakang (sp???) & data host D/L's. It may be Orbit got in the way of validating the .part file. Shouldn't happen, of course, but who knows?
UPDATE:
Hot damn! The Root Junk D/L worked this time (last time Google griped, at the end of the D/L, about the .part file). On to making the file do its magic. After walking the beach here at Black Point, Great Guana Island. There is a reason to be in the Exumas... [/ SEG]

I have no idea why all of the earlier attempts failed - they just did. But, as updated above, I finally grabbed the file. Off to take that walk on the beach. [/ S eating grin - again]

The beach walk mission was completed successfully, as was the subsequent rum punch sampling procedure. It's hell but someone has to do it.
On the "save my RAZR" front, things are not so good. I expanded the file (BTW, it also passed the md5 test - all is well there) to the admin desktop and tried to install the drivers. That tanked with a bizarre message saying the installation (well, repair) of the drivers failed with a network error while reading (fully qualified file spec). Network error??? The file's in a folder on the desktop and the error message recites the correct location. What am I missing here?

The driver issue is resolved. I just uninstalled the existing ADB drivers with the driver install tool and installed the 5.0.9 drivers with the same tool. End of network gripe. I can plug the phone into the laptop and the drivers wake up.
But the pain continues... when I try to use AP Fastboot, I get the dreaded "Device is LOCKED. Status code: 0". The battery is charged as fully as possible considering it's still in its boot loop, but at least plugged into a charger. And, yes, I've seen the phone charge up (ran the battery flat, which stopped the boot loop, plugged in the charger and saw the battery icon slowly move from 5% to 100%). Googling on AP Flashboot Device Is Locked gives a bewildering set of responses, often keyed to ICS, which I do not have and do not want. How the heck do I get past this LOCK issue?

That's normal. You have a locked bootloader. highlight fastboot and click vol up I believe to select it. Then run the Bat file from you PC

Do what Memnoch said and you should be good. The 912 has a locked bootloader but we can still flash it.
