So until updates for each specific rom comes out, you must use this tool? Will a Rom restore in safestrap work, once I get on the appropriate kernel, or do we have to start from scratch on setting up roms.? This is first thread I have seen of any such release. Just wondering what best thing to do is. Stay on the leak from xmas eve for now or go ahead and update?
Edit*
I am a bit confused about the leak and soak. Sorry. Just looking for some guidance

So ROM restores should work as long as you use the appropriate kernel. IMHO, if everything is working well for you , stay where you are until Verizon starts pushing out the update to the masses. As of right now, only a few of the Devs have released an updated ROM for the Soak version

can always rely on you, cmh for a good answer... im very happy where i am , just having that update out there is tempting and i always assume an update will
"enhance" things which it often does not. Thanks for this tool Mr. Groff. Seems like anytime the Motorola community is in a crisis or situation, Batman comes to the rescue! nice one bro!

That's the truth about getting a straight answer from cmh or matt or from other good people here both have helped me out tremendously in my dilemma.

Keeps trying to push the .16 OTA on the stock .8 ROM installed on ROM slot-1. Anyway to turn that off. Already did the OTA on the safe side used Matt's utility to go back to .8 kernel.

Flash a custom rom. I assume that's why you are using this tool. Custom roms have the OTA updater files turned off

Fair enough. On my DNA there were files that could be frozen in TiBu to stop the OTA. Not sure about the Razr though. Maybe Matt will chime in.

When I installed Safestrap on 89.72.16 I put that rom as my backup (stock rom). Now that I have used this tool its not going to boot. So now can I just install the Batakang rom in slot1 and delete my backup then restore once more?
Or do I have to uninstall Safestrap, reflash, reinstall Safestrap and then backup?

I see what I have to do now... Had to reflash brain..lol :P Thanks once more.
