I've been following the S4/debating getting it, and the main selling point for me is the multi window. I recently discovered that the Verizon limited the Note 2's multi window (including things that were compatible like gmail and youtube) when released and an update was promised "soon". I also believe there was a hack to get around that, but everything I've found is from the phone's release.

Now that it's March, is multi window fixed yet?

If your on the note 2 just about any touch wiz rom will have all apps can in multi view. There is also a mod floating around that you can flash if your unlocked/rooted. There is also some modified apps for non rooted users as well.

So if your asking if official update for that option is out, no. Are there mods/roms that have that option in them, yes.

My question was related to both. There's no reason it shouldn't work officially (yay Verizon!) but at least there are a bunch of ways to get it working unofficially. Thanks.

I have a note 2 and NEVER use multi Window.
Maybe if I had the note 10 with more screen real estate.
Neat to show off but that's about it. Also get a lot of compatability errors, ie Netflix pauses when it's not the primary app being used.
Basically, a novelty unless your on a tablet.

I have no problems with it, saved my butt a few times at work, write things down then forget the numbers while sending email. Note 3 gonna be shown off in 2 days, so if your looking to get a phone just wait a month or 2 and if you have Verizon, end of November.

I'm rooted on Verizon and i just use an app called multi window manager.........lets me move everything into multi-window
