I hope this is the right place to ask this..if not, my apologies.

I'm trying to install this on my buddy's 100% razr (non-rooted), I get into recovery, apply update from SD, click on blur file and instead of asking the usual Yes or No it displays a menu

../

neta-inf/

patch/

preinstall/

recovery/

system/

Does anyone have an idea of what's going on? Would greatly appreciate it.

Are you coming from ICS (.211) or the JB leak (.8)?

That looks like the inside of the zip file. Is the zip file unzipped on your sd card?? If that's not it you should be choosing "choose zip from SD card" Its possible you are choosing apply update so it is looking for an update. zip file.

So before I go off the deep end :P

To install the soak release all I have to do is put it on my sdcard
protect my root with voodoo
Then boot through recovery and flash the zip?

You got it. As long as your on stock. If not you may have to do option 1 on the utility first

Another newb question:

So I reverted back to .211, rooted, then protected root and unrooted using voodoo. Will my phone still update if busybox and superuser is installed?

n00b question:
My Razr is completely stock ICS. Downloaded 4.0.4. OTA update onto SD. Went into recovery and located the file which I'm guessing is:
Blur_Version.6.16.211.XT912.Verizon/
When selected, it brings me to ../
Is there something I'm missing here?

Very thorough thank you sat! Someone asked me if dual boot will still work with this but I assume it has to be updated with the new boot image correct?

I saw on

that this soak test has became OTA. Maybe that is why the servers are going nuts!

Ok I have gotten as far as installed the Leaked update. Now when I try to boot into recovery I get as far as the Droid Bot laying down but when I push the both the volume buttons it never goes beyond that to choose the update from Leak to soak. Any ideas?
