That changelog seems to be from ICS to JB. What's the changelog from JB leak to JB soak??

No visible difference I can find. Nothing added or subtracted. But in call black screen seems to be fixed and overall performance feels more fluid; smooth.

The gallery is a little different in that if you go to a folder, select a picture, and use the "pinch to zoom" motions. You can zoom out and slide pics up or down to delete. I am still digging around for other differences and will post what I find. I do think things seem all around snappier on this build.

The deodex zip of the new JB OTA failed to install in slot 1 of SS 3.11. Full wipe and everything. Is it designed for some other use?

Where did you find a deodexed version?

It's not a flashable zip. Its just the /system/app and /system/framework apks and jar files. Someone needs to package it up with the rest of the system and write up an updater script.

He didn't, someone posted a zip of the deodexed files.

was on the X-mas leak. uninstalled SafeStrap. updated SuperSU. voodoo OTA. installed Zip. updated fine.

restored Root. now SafeStrap isn't installing Recovery properly. rebooting doesn't bring the SafeStrap options and goes directly to the Stock JB ROM.

i re-downloaded & re-installed SS3.11. still the same.

anybody have SS3.11 working on the new JB? if so, any ideas?

Thx!

Seems a little more smooth, but I still have one issue I had when I went with the Christmas treat. On the audio for music and such, (not the ringtones volume) will not be at full volume if you reboot the phone. You can turn the volume all the way up, but once rebooted the volume will be at about 75%. Done this ever since the Christmas treat and is still doing it with the soak.

Please take the time to introduce yourselves and welcome to Droidrzr.com

Of course there's no promises on the backups, they were roms based off of an older system which may not be compatible with this kernel or other factors.

Sorry if this has already been answered but since the kernel is close to the same as the leak..does anyone know if dual boot will still work? I dont spend much time around these parts.. not enough bacon

Not sure if anyone has tested as I am most likely the ONLY person with the new boot.img (since I made it)
There are 2 ways that you can try this based on your skill level.

1) Download the

. Reboot to AP Fastboot, "fastboot flash boot 98.72.16boot.img" and then upon reboot, enter Safestrap and flash a JB rom (FWIW, the current JB roms don't appear to be compatible with this newer OTA. But it may not be kernel related.

2) Download the current Dual Boot utility. Download

(It's the same from #1). Rename it to jboot.img so it work in the .bat file. And run the utility as it was already made.

Go for it. I'm sure there are some folks who just DONT WANT TO stop suckling from the ICS teat. And that's fine. I too like options.

I'm still a noob to the RAZR stuff. Hell,it was an accomplishment for me to get dual boot going! I'm too comfortable with my Bionics.

actually the deodexed package i posted is a flashable zip, it's just not a complete rom. it needs a full rom base to be flashed over, which you can find here:

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

A flashable zip without the rest of the system files is kinda useless as it will never boot. Lol why bother making something that will black screen every time?
