Since we are on the subject of kanging, didn't Ultimate Droid get busted for kanging and not giving credit? I could be wrong, but it seems like that's why I quit using ud ROMs on my og droid.

Yes. UD was the ROM name, and blackdroid was the developer's nic.

I fully understand that :-P lol...

I hope the point I was trying to make came through. All I was trying to say is that we should be able to work together. I have always been big on that! If someone doesn't play by the rules.. then it should be handled accordingly. But the bickering doesn't help the situation. If I remember correctly the "particular themer" in question was pleasantly asked to leave before for the same reason. My question is.... Why was he allowed back? Shame me once shame on you, shame me twice shame on me!

I do admit... I didn't realize this thread had been moved. I blame Tapatalk for that! Lol..

Life really is all about how you approach a situation. All I want from this is had that "particular themer" approached the accuser to begin with for help.. would he have received it? Everyone could use a helping hand once in awhile and everyone makes mistakes. The big problem here was when questioned about the situation is how he reacted. A simple sorry man Ill post credit I'm hoping would've sufficed.

The first time I think he was allowed back in out of forgiveness. After the second incident, where he admitted what he had done, he himself asked for his account to be deleted - although I suspect that it was coming anyway.

This last time, well, he came back in and registered as a new, non-developer nic - to promote his own stuff, it seems. It was only caught when Tucs looked at the IPs after this thread was already severely derailed.

And as for accusers, not sure - but the example I posted myself, about the difference between his ROM and the deodexed patch, I know he would have received help - b/c mhous33 is a helpful kinda person. I can't speak for the others involved in previous Kanging, although one of the previous ones is in this thread too.

Also, the last time, when the account was deleted, the offer was made by the kanged dev themselves - I was already a mod at that point and I was observing. The kanged devs made the offer that if he came to them and came clean and apologized they'd drop the issue. He did not.

So, I think that 2 out of three times shows more than just a slight degree of disregard and lack of respect, no?

If you're using the official TWRP and not a port, they should still work just fine :)

Ahhh.. ill have to give one a try.

just put a folder inside your TWRP folder named "theme" and put the zip file in the theme folder, then reboot :)

I agree. Lol. Some people just won't budge even if they're in the wrong. It actually fuels them the other direction.

Since this topic really is just a dumping ground now.. how do you'll think the Skins will do next season? Haha

Nice! I haven't messed with any of the twrp themes.. couldn't sound any more straight forward. Not that it matters lol.. I'm going home to break it tonight anyway. Working on getting CM10.1 on it.. if the build finished while I've been at work I won't be using the DNA much until we smooth the issues out...

Nice! Hopefully one of these days I can get one of those badboys! I heard it's probably the best HTC phone so far?

It is the best HTC I've ever used! There are things I don't care for such as no sdcard, battery life doesn't live up to what I'm used to.. but overall a great device.

I would say I LOVE Mine but that was until I had to get an insurance replacement that came with 2.04 loaded on it. So yeah, now I hate it.

Idk how they got the first cid. I don't know a lot about this unlocking method. I prefer fastboot oem unlock. But whatever, nothing's every easy when VZW has their grimy mitts on it.

I hear ya. The unlock procedure is a tad above my head as well. Nothing like good ol' fastboot oem unlock! Lol. Unfortunately I think we will see more of the "developer" model phones. Which for me is no big to do because I don't plan on subsiding any other devices. But paying full price won't work for everyone

Also noticed this is STILL the 3.0.8 kernel. Interadasting. This may be the same deal as the Christmas leak. So if anyone chooses not to jump the gun, once we put together a boot.img from this OTA, you would in theory (if you wanted to) still be able to dual boot.

Thank you Tucstwo...

that what I was trying find for information...with All the entourage of post it was very vague about what will happen with Dual Boot will it still work after OTA push...
Been holding off to take the update...

Dual boot will work but you will need to use the OTAs kernel. While it's still 3.0.8 it's different than the Christmas leaks kernel.

Oh I feel ya. I paid $641.00 for my DNA, lived the hell out of it. Had to get a replacement and it came updated. Now, it's useless.

FYI -

I was on the Christmas JB leak and tried to sideload the ota to get to .16. I got this error in recovery:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/bin/battd

I think Boot Menu Manager may have made a change to battd. I used ES file explorer to goto system/bin and I found a battd.bak (which was the original). So I renamed the modified battd to battd.bak1 and renamed the battd.bak to battd.

By doing this I restored the original battd file and after that the ota installed fine. Hopefully this helps someone that has the same problem and doesn't feel like using an unstuck fastboot method to flash the stock system.img
