this is a framework-res.apk for the FLYING JELLY rom. I just modded it to have no Navigation Bars in Vertical Mode and have them reappear in Landscape Mode.

I use LMT ( http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1330150 ) to have a "pie-chart" displaying home/back/menu/search using gesture control.

to install:

unpack from ZIP file.
push to SDCARD
use ROOT EXPLORER/ any ROOT browser that allows remounts to writeable
copy file from SDCARD to /SYSTEM/
change permissions to match current framework-res.apk.

delete old framework-res.apk
move new framework-res.apk from /system/ to /system/framework
reboot

sit back and enjoy move screen space!

i am using this with 200 DPI and the Play Store DPI Fix

screen space has grown a lot! now this looks like a RAZR HD ;)

enjoy!

Just know that when you make changes like this is best to make a flashable zip. reason for this is because framework is a key component of android.. once you delete it... more often than not the phone will reboot and you be stuck with not framework. i mean it works sometimes... but it has risks...

the guy who made this mod originally -- or thought of it -- couldn't get an install.zip to work.

this is my first mod as well, and I haven't the slightest idea on how to create an install.zip much less write an update-binary.

(i'm sure i could make the zip, but no idea bout the binary lol )

so manually is good. plus deleting the file wouldn't do anything until the phone WAS rebooted. i've never seen a phone reboot just at the completion of deleting a file.!

I for one would love it. Original method not working for me. Thanks in advance!

Does this work on the new Flying Jelly 1.0? I tried the update.zip and it had no effect.
