Haptic Feedback dies?

Quite bizarre, right? Anyone else having this problem? I found some OG Razr posts about it (which is how I learned of the shake remedy). I tried a fix permissions using Rom Toolbox and that messed up everything(no lock screen, home button wouldn't work, other quirks), so I had to once again restore ICS and get fresh JB again.
Right now I have haptic totally disabled in everything so it's at least consistent, however I really miss it. Suggestions?

In case anyone finds this, I just answered my own question. (IT ONLY TOOK 9 MONTHS!)
Freeze Movement detection 2.1 in titanium backup.
Haptic has been working since, and I've seen no adverse effects so far.
Edit:
worked for like 2 hours, back to same problem

I have the same problem but it also kills vibrate notification, i have missed so many calls and texts my finacee wants to kill me some days. I thought the motor had a short in it because a hard shake or good hit on the table gets is back to normal. Sometimes for a day sometimes for 10 minutes.

Yeah it seems to be a hardware issue that people get replacements on. I'm not trading my unlocked BL for a bit of vibration though, so I'll just deal.
