Option 1
Hmm, went thru all the steps to fastboot using Option 1 to wipe data (+ Moto recovery factory reset for good measure) then flash v2.2 ,,, no dice. Same result as before. Don't have the time to install v2.1 then v2.2, but will try that tomorrow to see if I can finally get it to kick in.

Booted up fine for me with no issues
Same here, flashed it right over v2.1 not sure why people are having so many issues........ driving me insane not knowing how to fix something that isn't happening to me lol.

Happening to me too. I am on ICS stock and use the Dualboot to get to the new Kernal. Went back to 2.1 and it worked so it might have to do with that?

I am sure this is frustrating for you but I want to add my experience. Tried installing 2.2 after a fresh JB update using Matt's tool and tried slot 1, 2 and 3 all without luck (stuck at animation). I then installed 2.1 RAGE then updated to 2.2 and all was well. Something seems strange with a fresh install on some phones even though the video shows a fresh install (although he didn't really show the animation process I guess it's hit and miss with fresh 2.2 but seems that people having that issue can install 2.1 then 2.2 just fine.
By the way, I really like this ROM and thanks for all your hard work

Good news and bad news. Totally got 2.2 to boot over 2.1! But sadly I'm getting "unknown error during application install -24" for random apps. Every time i've recreated/tried different slots, reflashed/rewiped, different apps get the error, and when i try to do a mass restore with romtoolbox pro i notice random "superuser denied" toasts during the restore. I tried to google but there is nothing out there about it
It's probably because you're restoring apps that I have set as system apps in the ROM.

I think it's because people aren't flashing over 2.1, just trying to do a new install with 2.2

Yes the fix is to go to your dialer and type *#*#4636#*#* then go to phone information and scroll down to preferred network type. Set that to lte, cmda, evdo then exit and toggle airplane mode on and off. Presto it's fixedDoes anyone have problems sending sms? I can receive SMS and mms. Can also send MMS just not sms. I tried fixing permission no luck just says failed
