It seems like my troubles started when I flashed the latest version over top of the existing version. I'm going to go back and delete the ROM slot and start over. I know, I got lazy, but also wanted to see what would happen. GPS has been acting odd today and the phone has rebooted several times for no reason.
I did the same thing (dirty flash). Its not lazy. I've dirty flashed the last few releases, because BDH said we could ;)

Beats audio kills all my sounds. I noticed people are having problems with their sound, and once installed I had none, even tried the uninstall Apollo, disable dsp trick. After uninsalling Beats, sound is fine. Hope this is a help

I think sound effects and DSP has conflicting issues, DSP stopped working in my phone. But the sound effects still worked.

Anyone have a problem with chrome being slow and sometimes unresponsive? For me, it's not just chrome that slows when I load it. It pretty much slows down the whole phone when I try using it. I'm using the stock browser for the time being, but I like chrome better.

Yes. Most definitely.

+1 Me too. Chrome is extremely slow to load a page.

GPS has been acting odd for me too. If I do a total power off, then power up. GPS doesn't work.

But if I do a reboot after that without powering off, GPS starts working again.

I got Chrome to respond a little better by going into Chrome's settings -> Privacy -> unchecking Search and URL Suggestions.  Hope that helps a few people.  It definitely doesn't fix it completely but its bearable.

It seems my sound problems are hardware, specifically the speaker, related. I tested this morning via BT, good, and headphone, good. I played through the speakers, nada until i pressed on the speaker and then it came on. I'll call VZW and see if they'll send me a refurb. At least i'ts good to know what the issue is.

Wondering what caused that to happen, were you experiencing speaker issues before ?

For the past several weeks it has been off and on. I thought it was software related. Seems to be definitely hardware related.

I flashed 3.1 yesterday and I LOVE all the features!!!!  I've noticed the following issues though:

  1. When texting it doesn't always change from the arrow indicating it's sending to the date that it was sent until I send another text then it changes the arrow to the date sent on the one already sent, but the one just created still has the arrow.  The receiver has received it though.
  2. The LTE/CDMA/EvDo setting doesn't stick.  I have to switch it every time I reboot.  This is the only issue that would keep this ROM from being my daily driver.
  3. In the app drawer when i hit the settings button on the top right (3 vertical dots) or the menu button I can see the background in the notification bar, when i Back out it goes back to black.

Features I'd like to see:

  1. I miss the ability to create custom groups in my app drawer.
  2. An app to bring up alarms so I don't have to start the clock, then alarms, adding this to the notification toggles would be great as well as seen in the notification toggle app.

That's all for now.  Great ROM!! I've been looking for one that matches the stock one but with all the extra bells and whistles and this one is the best I've seen so far.  Keep up the good work!

I figured out how to fix having to set my phone network every time I reboot.  I went into System Settings->More...->Mobile networks->Network Mode and set it to LTE/CDMA now it sticks and is still sticking after several reboots.  The issue I am having now is I have to turn airplane mode on then off to get texting to work as far as sending them.  Is anyone else having this issue regarding having to put in the #* stuff in the phone settings via the dialer or having to switch airplane mode on/off to get texting to work?  Just wondering if its my phone or the ROM.  I've reinstalled 3x following the install directions exactly with the same results.  I'm on Rage v3.1

In order to not have this be totally annoying I created a SmartAction to turn it on/off after by Titanium Backup reboots my phone, but still an issue if for some reason I have to reboot it during the day.

Other than the texting issue I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this ROM, the first ROM since rooting my phone back in the ICS days that I like everything about the apps and features setup from the get go.  Thanks for all your hard work! :)

Love the way the rom is set up, features etc, but holy s, a few hours after a reboot, does it start to DRAG. Like big time, I'm taking 25-35 seconds for anything to respond! I have been using the stock rom for the last couple days and it's noticeably faster. What do you think the issue could be? On V3 right now. Didn't flash 3.1 as it didn't seem necessary for me at the time. Really want to stick with this rom though, has all the features I would want, good battery, BLUETOOTH actually works, no Internet ads driving me crazy , but the way it slugs down makes it almost unusable. Please, any help or ideas would be freakin awesome. Thanks amigos.

My easy solution is to crank up the min frequency to 600. Not the best, but I only lost about 1% additional battery per hour, which is a no problem to me

In 3.0 somehow the governor default setting was changed. I changed it back to interactive and the system speed picked back up. On reboot it would reset back to default, so I downloaded No-Frills CPU Control and all is good.

A ROM may take several days to settle in. Your lagginess is atypical. Reboot several times during the day and see how it is after two days.

Called VZW and they're sending a replacement Maxx in the mail. Wanted to call it in before warranty was up next month.

Just made it huh, OK I've done some testing crap out DSP manager also Sound Effects, Just use equalizer app from the market seems to work best, DPS stops when changing volume or song, never liked it anyways just for that reason. I also froze sound effects. Just using equalizer app from market all running fine.

I've been using this excellent rom since the middle 2's and haven't had too many problems until 3.1. As some other people have mentioned I've actually getting pretty poor performance with this rendition. Most definitely not butter smooth like it used to be. I am using No Frills with a 600 mHz minimum and "interactive" cpu setting. I'll get apps (facebook, text messaging, even the dialer) just lag out for a good 10-30 seconds. Chrome runs terribly MOST of the time because it takes so long for the keyboard to pop up, enter websites, etc.

Any body else having these terrible slowness issues that have fixed them? Like I said, I've already made the changes in No Frills, but the performance is just nowhere near what I was getting with previous verisons. It's rendering my phone borderline useless for minutes at a time throughout the day. Should I go back to a previous version perhaps?

I went back to 3.0 last night because of those same issues.
