There is a security setting somewhere that limits group messaging. It is only about 30 messages in a short period of time. It's definitely not 1, 000. I can't find it either.

I've been running rage for a few days now, and suddenly my sound cut out. Whenever I try to open up a music app, it pops up saying that dsp manager has crashed. One of my friends says this is a common issue he's had with CM nightlies, and the only way to fix it is to reflash. I want to make sure there isn't any other options, and whether restoring a safestrap backup over the reflash would work. I've put some time into setting this up, and I'd rather not lose it.

 

My sound turned off on all music/podcast apps. I tried going to the beats audio app and hitting the uninstall button, but that didn't seem to help.

 

I tried:

System settng -> Sound -> Audio Effects -> Equalizer -> Off

 

That brought sound back.

This is an awesome ROM, man, and I really like everything about it, but i am having one major problem; I can't seem to send texts, only receive them. Tried re-installing  3 times with the same result on each attempt. Texting worked perfectly fine on a couple of the other ROMS I have check out, so i am not sure if I am doing something wrong or what. Would love to make this my daily driver so any help would be appreciated!!

This is from an earlier post. It used to be in the OP too, not sure why it was taken down. It is strange, but it will fix your problem. Keep the directions handy because you may need them again after reboot.

" Yes the fix is to go to your dialer and type *#*#4636#*#* then go to phone information and scroll down to preferred network type. Set that to lte, cmda, evdo then exit and toggle airplane mode on and off. Presto it's fixed "

Why are there so many sound apps in this Rom you have DSP manger, Beats and Sound Effects I cant use Poweramp cause it clashed with something and causes a force close, beats you have to install and I really dont care for it anyways, wouldnt the sound effects and DSP be causing issues. I lost my sound the other day just like that and had to wipe and reinstall and within a few days bam did it again Why would I have just lost sound like that seems something is screwy to me.

Try turning off sound f/x and uninstalling DSP. I would also clear data on both prior to disable/uninstall. Oh an just uninstall/ clear data on beatz.

Yeah my DSP works for about a song then stops, I can't get it to work I turn sound effects off, and it still don't work I'm using Google music player.

I've uninstalled apps, cleared cache, turned every sound setting off, etc. I can't think of anything else to do. It eventually comes back after about 6-8 hours, but then will go away again. Maybe has a conflict with BT? Idk. Anyone that has a solution would be my (and a lot of people's) hero.

So, as I read #1161, I do the four wipes and flash 2.9, dirty flash 3.0, delete Apollo, flash Awesome Beats v3 (I assume this is in SS...where is AB v3 zip?) and that's it? Just want to make sure I'm doing it right. Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Thanks man. As we speak, I'm doing the 4 wipes, installing v3.1. Then will set up, uninstall Apollo, flash AB v3. I'll report back after that. Do you use BT? I think that's where I was having some issues.

expecting a lot in range ROM next version really pls developer whatever the size ...ROM need more attractive with a lot of functions

A thousand messages isn't enough?

It's not enough when both me and my gf rather communicate through texts throughout the days =)

Breakneck there's an issue with the data updating apps you can only get it to update wifi but if you use r2 it'll work. I think there are some work around but I'm not going to get into that right now I don't have the time, I know it's not r7 but I'm not missing anything that's not working. I was using that rom before coming to rage.
The only thing that's not built into the rom there is Google Mail which you can get from the market and the browser which there's a link in the OP for the stock Browser.

I don't really like the theme in breakneck so I use rd3 theme you can find his site on the internet doing a Google search.
I also use one of sports boot up menus because I can't stand it stupid droid thing.
