Is there a mod available to remove the input selector notification?

I tried freezing the Swype keyboard and rebooted, but I still had the notification. So yesterday I installed the 4.2 Android Keyboard (which I've been wanting and froze the Rage stock and Swype keyboards, then rebooted. I haven't gotten this notification since.

Hmmm. I was just going to modify the PNG in the framework. But I will try deleting all unused keyboards first. For some reason I never thought to try that.


Update: deleting or freezing all unused keyboards worked for me. No more notification. Nothing wrong with the ROM, just personal preference.

I would like to start by saying this is the best rom and the only one i trust to not make my phone a paper weight.  I recently peiced together a RAZR Maxx off of craigslist, one with a broken screen and one that had a bad connection between the battery. So I took the good screen off the RAZR and put it on the Maxx and it fired up and worked great. I have been running rage rom on my other RAZR (Fiancee has that one now) since 2.3.  Ever since I updated to 3.1 on the RAZR Maxx people keep saying that I sound muffled or very quite when I talk to them.  Is there anyway that could be caused by a dirty flash from 3.0 to 3.1? It is probably a way stupid question and most likely when putting the maxx back together I put the plastic piece over the mic but I didn't get any complaints while talking when on 3.0 or 2.9. Hopefully the way I explained this makes sense to some one else besides me.  And thank you very much to Team Rage for all the time they put into this for the RAZR community.  If it helps I would gladly donate my old RAZR to the rage team if they think it would help for developement purposes, it has a cracked screen and potentially other problems, I would pay shipping though so its free if it would help.

I am SERIOUSLY interested in your offer of your old RAZR. I just need it to boot. It's rather annoying and difficult developing on my Droid due to my constant need to use it, too. LoL. :

As far as the sounds, I have not really tested voice; but I can try to simulate and troubleshoot this for you. I'll try to do a few recordings on both versions of RAGE.

Try this:

Backup up RAGE in SafeStrap.
Fresh install RAGE 3.1 by:
Delete Slot.
Reboot System.
Enter SafeStrap.
Create Slot (that you deleted).
Install RAGE 3.1.
Wipe Everything in order:
System, Factory, Cache, Dalvic

See if a fresh install fixes the issues. If it doesn't, then you can simply restore your dirty backup. :

Go to the link and install the "simple apk" file. Then install as you would any 3rd party apk. Go to settings>language/input and look for android keyboard( not the aosp) Set as default input device. You should be up and running. P.as. you will see a prompt about app access. Just allow. No need for safestrap

I just use an app like Root Explorer. Open the explorer app, navigate to where you have the file downloaded and click/tap on it. Root Explorer will open it and install it... just be sure to have Unknown Sources checked in your settings.

Slide from letter to letter like with swype.
It has swype feature built in. make sure you have the plain android keyboard selected not aosp.

Yep it's working, thanks for the help! I think swiftkey is better tho, specially since I paid for it. I used one keyboard back when I was trying out different ROMs and it was very similar with the predictions and key functions. Thought it was 4.2, guess not

Lol if I paid for swiftkey I would use it too! This is the keyboard i had on an aokp ROM (gapps). It is just a personal preference but i like it better than swype. Glad it works options are always nice!!!

You can try renaming the DCIM folder and allowing the camera to create a new one. I believe that was a fix on another ROM. What I did was to just use the 4.1.2 camera.

The gallery works if I click on the app but if I try and go to the camera it will stop working.
