Not to sound rude...but whats changed in the 3.1 update besides an AOSP gallery app that force closes when editing?

I don't want to downgrade my ROM. And that's all the change log shows?

There are editing apps in the market that probably offer more functionality than the stock gallery, if that helps.

I don't get the "downgrading" part but yeah the changes are listed. You don't HAVE to flash it.

I guess I sounded rude after all. Good work on the ROM for sure. But according to the change log the update is only a force closing 4.2.2 gallery app when editing pics. Why would I flash it?  I realize you have worked very hard on a great ROM and have other things to do. I was just asking a simple question.

make a backup of your current, wipe wipe wipe harder, flash the update and if you dont like the upgrades then wipe harder than normal and restore the backup

Its not just the gallery lol. Its the 4.2.2 camera as well that works perfectly.

I don't have any issues with the 3.0 version so I think I'll hold off. The battery is awesome on this ROM. I went two days without a charge on the OG Razr.  One day of excessive use is no problem without a charge. Seems like you have tamed the screen from sucking all the life out of the battery. Once again..thanks for the ROM and more importantly ...Thanks for serving our Country and protecting the freedoms of the people!

Just my 2¢, I don't like the 4.2.2 camera all that much because you can't save pics to the SD card and I think there is less functionality. On other ROMs I have had to restore the 4.1.2 camera to fix that.

Awesome looking ROM! I tried to flash it last night but had some issues. I followed your safestrap instructions and for the rom to boot up and activate just fine. My issues came into play later. After reinstalling my apps I found that any media app (spotify, pocketcasts) immediately force closed. I tried reinstalling them, clearing data, rebooting, and I even went so far as to re - flash the rom. No matter what I couldn't get them to work. Anyone else have this issue?

Spotify has played fine for me in every version of this rom (currently 3.1).

 

Things I may have done differently: ¹⁾ I install my apps fresh (no backup/restore app).  ²⁾ In 3.0, I removed Apollo and installed Awesome Beats v3.  ³⁾ I dirty flashed (updated) to 3.1.

keep low during your deployment, & come back the same as b4, just a bit older…
can you say for how long you'll be deployed- wanna keep good thoughts & wishes for our service-people in mind.

BTW, if the 4.22 gallery & camera are the only changes, & since I use 3d party for both, how much will NOT upgrading affect the next upgrade ??

I think he said it's a 2 week field training exercise, not a deployment. If he were in the kind of unit that actually went on 2 week deployments he probably couldn't say anything about it, lol.

Glad to see this update. My phone didn't like 3.0. All kinds of performance issues. 3.1 has it back to being a rocket ship. Thanks for the hard work and frequent updates. Still the best ROM I have had on this phone.

Love the newer version, but I'm still having issues with the sounds in some games (like Rayman Jungle Jump and Simpsons Tapped Out) sounding choppy or echoey.

I've frozen and then uninstalled Beats Audio because I've heard that can cause some issues. I've rebooted and still, the sounds are choppy.

In the case of Tapped Out, it sounds like there are two of whatever character is talking. It's a reverb effect that I'm getting.

In Rayman, it's just choppy. The game itself runs great, but the sound issue is annoying.

Is anyone else experiencing this at all? Has anyone been able to fix it it they do have this issue?

I'm running the latest Rage (3.1). I've wiped cache and dalvik, I've deleted the Rom slot, recreated it, wiped cache and dalvik and reinstalled and nothing seems to cure the issue.

If I reboot back into stock, the game sounds are fine, so it can't be my phone, unless there is something going on with the internal SD memory itself.

I've been having performance issues... Overall its really laggy (even text messaging) I dont know what is going on...only 30 apps installed, Nova launcher ... What do you think it could be the problem?

Which version are you on?
