OoRAH. I was Army, but I have the heart of a Marine. Hence the x-Corps name I use here.

I'm always in a helping mood!

Did you re-delete those apps AFTER you used Matt's Batman Utility Belt?

Try turning off Audio Effects altogether in your system settings and let me know of that works.

Next. Where are your audio files physically located? Internal Storage? External? System/Media?

If you uninstalled an app on 2.9, then it may have been reinstalled with the 3.0 update.

I did uninstall Smart Actions in 2.9, but I did that in 3.0 as well.

Thanks for trying to figure this out for me.  Like I said, I'm baffled at what is causing 3.0 to be so slow.

I did re-delete the apps. System audio is turn off. My audio files are mixed, podcast on internal storage, music on external storage, ringtones system media, notifications mixed among the three. Currently it is working. When I drive home this evening, I will let you know if I lose them again. ty

When you connect your Droid to your truck, are you also connecting via USB?

Is it possible to do an OTA update from 4.9 to 3.0 through goo.im?  Or do I need to wipe and reflash?

I think you mean 2.9 but yes you can just download the update through Goo Manager then flash. The updater-script will wipe cache and dalvik for you :)

Is there a zip or something that can be flashed to remove the toggles on the status bar so I can use another app like power toggles?

Changed the governor's schedule to "interactive" with rom toolbox, 3.0 is much quicker

Yes. It seems like 3.0 had performance as the default setting, but performance is known to cause issues after prolonged usage. I only use performance for short periods when I need it.

I use interactive, too. Thanks for your feedback. Maybe your words can help others having issues with their performance and smoothness.

I completely forgot to mention...

No-Frills CPU Control has the ability to set your governor to your liking upon each boot.

I currently have mine to set Interactive & Deadline with 300 min and 1200 max, and it changes it to that setting every time I boot my Droid.

Try it. Hope it helps!

As most of you know, I'm in the military. A lot of you know what that entails. Long days, long nights, working weekends, stuff like that.

Well, as of Monday, I'll be doing a Field Training Exercise (FTX) for the next 2 weeks. I'll be available on twitter and gtalk but will not be able to push out any updates for 2 weeks.

When I come back though, development and updates will continue to drive on as usual.

v3.1 will be pushed this weekend and it will be the last update for 2 weeks.

Thank you all though for your continued support and I'll see you all in 2 weeks!

No, thank you sir for your service and sacrifice for this country.  Good luck!

Ooo! Thanks for the suggestion! I totally forgot that my last few ROMs came with No-Frills and prior to now I've never been inclined to use it. This totally worked! :)
